Mickey Rourke rebuilt his damaged career by playing "The Wrestler" ... and he doesn't have the scars to prove it.
Here's the 31-year-old back in 1984 (left) -- and 25 years later, the 56-year-old version earlier this year (right).
He's as good as new.

He never suffered any damage inside the ring as all his "fights" were basically set ups so that Mickey could raise some much needed cash and promoters could profit from his falling star . What he did in the boxing ring was much like a version of Wrestling even though he will never admit it publically. Mickey underwent many elective procedures including cheek implants , lip implants and way to many dermabrasions which pretty much account for his ghastly looks today. I am happy to see his career revived but if he doesnt grow up it willbe short lived.
I would really say bad docs, he looks like a different person.
I have to agree with post #1. His face has a unnaturally-tight, waxy look these days. He's on his way to being the male equivalent of Joan Rivers. I do respect how much he loves his pets and he is a good actor, though.
Good Docs??? Oxy Moron there...could there be worse Docs??? He had uber great genes he was HOT!!!
Yes, where was the option for "Bad Docs"? Because they are. Look at how beautiful he was. They've butchered his lips.
Uhhmmm you guys didn't Mickey Rourke have some kind of tragedy in his life that messed up his looks? Be nice!
He should find himself a good doc to fix that mess. Back in the day he was hot!!!
Why did he not just grow old gracefully, we all know that he is not 31 anymore. When I age I am just going to go out hella foxy!
Are you kidding? TERRIBLE plastic surgery! He was so cute and now he is a bit (I'm trying to be nice) frightening. I would take a normal looking older man over a face-lift-face anyday.
It's docs. You can see the skin by his eyes being pulled UP.
