Mickey Rourke rebuilt his damaged career by playing "The Wrestler" ... and he doesn't have the scars to prove it.

Here's the 31-year-old back in 1984 (left) -- and 25 years later, the 56-year-old version earlier this year (right).

He's as good as new.

2. I have to agree with post #1. His face has a unnaturally-tight, waxy look these days. He's on his way to being the male equivalent of Joan Rivers. I do respect how much he loves his pets and he is a good actor, though.

8. ok, you guys at TMZ are just having us on here. Good genes/ good docs? You're just fishing for 'where is the bad docs option?'.
Maybe a more direct poll would be worst surgery on a male celebrity. My contenders are Mickey Rourke, Burt Reynolds, and Bruce Jenner...although Al Pacino gets an honorable mention.
