19. Sure this child will be well cared for. But, thanks to the legal precedent set by this ruling, all the other children adopted by others with short term residency who wish to market them into slavery or other such unfortunate situations are gonna pay the price of this.

20. Mercy has relatives who don't want her adopted out. You are adopting outside the US to avoid the rules and this child is not an orphan, the family can't fight Madonna's wealth. This is wrong on soooooooo many levels. No fan no more!

27. the reason why most people adopt internationally when there are ton of children here in America is because the children overseas have it much worse in orphanages. Here there are many laws and regulations, there not so much. Also, the chances of a child being adopted in a poor country by someone eles in that country is very slim. But here most of us are pretty wealthy and can afford to adopt a child here at home and internationally.

She has proven herself to be a good mother and adopted a child there already. To make her wait was just plain stupid and it was the child that suffered. How do we continue to let African and other international children become the latest "accessory" for these celebrities. You can not tell people what to do, but surely investing in socio-economic programs in these impoverished programs might be more sustainable.

30. Her family??? Does that include her 20 yr old boyfriend? This women is so psychologically messed up I can not believe anyone would let her adopt. So she can hire yet another nanny while she cavorts with 20 yr olds? She is soooo pathetic.
