Kelis has just filed her financials with the court, making her case to get support and baby expenses from estranged hubby Nas.
Kelis says from 11/08 to 4/09, her average monthly income was $21,616. Hardly poor, but way less than what she and Nas were pulling in while she was with him.
Kelis, who is ready to give birth, has some pretty hefty expenses -- $80,831 a month ... way more than she says she makes.
Kelis says she hasn't toured in a year and most of her income comes from her concerts.
Kelis says she spends $14,861 on her mortgage. Her nanny costs $3,500 a month. She spends $15,000 a month on entertainment, gifts and vacations -- not too shabby. And she says it cost $175 to have the "baby rug dry cleaned."
And there's this ... Kelis says she wants to buy "storage to bank the baby's blood when he is born. The banking is the collection and storage of the stem cells found in the baby's umbilical cord." It's used to treat 70 life-threatening diseases. It all costs $$$.

I do not see what is wrong with her asking for divorce. Women ask for support every day. Kevin Federaline was married to Britney not even 3 yrs and he gets $40,000 a month in alimony and child support. So why should it be any different with Nas and Kelis. He is the primary bread winner. He (with all his attorneys) knew that if they got divorce he would be required to maintain his child and her standard of living. He should pay. They had a 6 year marriage (longer than most hollywood music couples) and she has his baby. Nas this is your wife and the mother of your child. You cheated NOT her . Love to you death babe but you gotta pay.
If Usher's wife can get a bankroll to take care of her 2 kids with Usher and 3 kids with another man, then why can't Nas take care of his seed and the woman he professed to love...

Cut you expenses, get rid of the nanny if you ass isn't working or "touring", clean the rug yourself, sell your house and get a condo and pawn all that jewelry. What a ungrateful bitch!!!! Agreed...he should pay for his kid and she should get an support that is ORDERED...but she shouldn't feel entitled to everything she is asking for....and again, they just filed for divorce and usually it takes 6 months for things to be final and for payments to start....she wants something now before the divorce is even heard in court. How do you know that he cheated and she didn't? They both could of cheated...funny how they split up but then got back together THEN she got pregnant...sounds like a trap to me....she knew her money train was about to leave the station...so after 6 YEARS...she gets pregnant when it's all falling apart. I bet his sperm can't even produce a baby and that baby is someone elses! Seriously...think about it...didn't get pregnant all that time...now she is when it's over....things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm.
I don't understand why these "stars" need all this crap. What would she do if he went bankrupt tomorrow, she would continue to exist and would have to make it on 21,000 a month. Oh please that is more than some people make in a year. Why is it necessary to have a nanny if you don't work?
