The guardianship hearing in the Michael Jackson case has been postponed ... and our sources say the delay is because Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe are close to a settlement.
The hearing was set for Monday, but is now delayed to August 3.
As we reported, lawyers for Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe have been hashing out a settlement and we're told an agreement is on the horizon. The discussions, we're told, is amicable and it involves the children -- not money.
Sources say it looks like Debbie Rowe will not object to Katherine getting custody. As for Rowe, she had an agreement with Jackson that was signed several years ago that gave her an undisclosed sum of money spread out over a period of years. That agreement survived Jackson's death and is unaffected by custody issues.
The court ruled Katherine will continue on as legal guardian until the hearing on August 3.

Why is Debbie having discussions about the kids AT ALL. She gave birth to them then she SPLIT! She had no other contact with them so why NOW does she want to "DISCUSS" the kids?!?!? Debbie Rowe... just BEAT IT!!

Maybe Debbie just wants to make sure that the kids are going to have limited contact with Joe Jackson. WHy does everyone assume that she is such a money-grubbing wench? I mean, honestly, she and MJ had an agreement,....and those terms were for HIM to decide- he wanted to give her money and she wanted to give him children. So what. People in the world make a lot more horrid deals in this in the world- calm down and think that maybe, just for a minute, that she might actually care about these children as her dear friends' offspring. To all of you people how are screaming that Debbie Rowe should take the children, because she is the mother, and its best for them to be with her......Well, This serve as a good reminder that Debbie Rowe does NOT want to fight for these children. She does not give a rats ass about them, never did, and never will. This woman has been single, living on her own, without children for ever, she does not want to be bother with small children now. Have to say i am really happy about that, because I never thought she should have them, being as she sold them, and is still getting paid for it. Leave them with katherine, these are her grand babies and she loves them dearly. Debbie can go straight to hell!
I hope you are wrong TMZ. I truely hope that Debbie is not going to let the old, old, old, old, old lady Katherine have custody of those kid's that are nothing to those Jackson's but $$$$$$. They don't have an ounce of Jackson blood in them.
Hopefully this is all hear say, and Debbie will save those kid's from the stranger's that the Jackson's are to the kid's.
GET YOUR KID'S DEBBIE, or joint custody. If the old, old, old lady dies you get full custody.
