There was more crazy -- Jerry unloaded on his sponsor, saying he couldn't see the big donation board because South Point's "goddamn" sign was in the way.
Good times ... hope you made a donation.

I admire Jerry Lewis' work that he has done for the MDA, but he definitely needs to watch his language. He took God's name in vain twice, said a crude urinary function word that begins with "p" and rhymes with miss, commented on Nancy O'Dell's legs when she is a married woman, and said a rude comment after Charo sat on him, and Nancy admonished him. He acts like his daughter Dani is his only child and from the other posts, treated his kids from his first marriage, especially Suzan and Gary (from Gary Lewis and the Playboys) like dirt. This year he didn't put his son Gary and his band on this year like in years past. On the other hand, I guess he was hurting when he lost his telethon co-hort Ed McMahon earlier this year and had a picture of him along with the US and Marine Corps flags on stage, and at the end of the show, he struggled with the lyrics to "You'll Never Walk Alone" and started crying during the song. Jerry, I don't like what you did, but I still love you.
However, I would not be surprised if some of the people who helped him co-host or performed on this telethon won't return in 2010. Also, the FCC (and some stations) need to put a 5 or 10-second delay so if anyone says some swear words, he can be bleeped out.
In closing, I feel that some people need to tell Jerry Lewis to either straighten himself out or else people will want to give him the "Old Yeller" treatment.
Does anyone recall the Hulk Hogan Incident from the 80's? Hulkster vowed never to return becuase JL insulted him. This year, I watched the first hour and saw the "dirty books" comment to the cute little poster child girl, saw his nice tribute to ED, (did you see Ed's wife roll her eyes when asked to stand up from the audience?) but his "booze" comment undid that entire tribute's effectiveness, saw the tacky replay of his Oscar acceptance speech - you could tell that he did not want to be there. Bottom line: All his "rat pack vaudville" stars ate gone and he can't lure the younger acts to perform like he used to. I have watched for over 30 years and give him props for all his hard work, but must admit it is time to retire. Bring him out each year for 1 hour to do a quick comedy bit, then pack him back in mothballs for another year. I actually was hoping that the parents of the little poster child would walk on stage from the wings and escort the little girl out after he made the "dirty books" comment. She looked at him with that angelic face and didnt even know what he was talking about. Let's not forget how this entire effort started. He used to do spastic/convulsive moves in his early 1950's movies and was once approached by the angry mother of a MDA child, who lambasted him. It was only then that he got involved in the cause. He is not longer an asset to MDA, he has become a liability. If they DO keep him, a 5 second censor button is mandatory for the 2010 telethon.
sad!sad!sad!everybody seems to miss the real reason jerry needs to go!adults can take his rude remarks and remember where they come from.he has always had a nasty attidude!but the way he presents himself on natioal tv ,in front of innocent children is a real pitty!if it is age, then im sure his family is aware of it and also his co-workers.i know for a fact, many people will no longer have the telethon on in their homes for fear of what their children will hear or see. MDA,DO NOT LET THESE CHILDREN SUFFER DUE TO HIS ARROGANCE,PLEASE!!! DANI AND SAM GET HIM HELP!ONLY YOU CAN!
This idiot was NEVER EVER funny and is pathetic now. He needs to go to France and stay and die there. I liked the fat bloated jerry from a few years ago because he seemed closer to death. He should have married Lucy another whining unfunny person. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Viva Argentina and Charro coochie coochie
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
