The enormous sign Evi Quaid made last week -- which accused her arresting officer of taking bribes -- somehow caught fire this weekend ... and lucky for everyone, the Quaids weren't around to complain about it.
Law enforcement sources say the Quaids skipped town before Evi's sign caught fire on Saturday -- and as of right now, cops don't have any clue as to who's to blame for the flame.
One thing is clear ... someone in Marfa, Texas isn't amused by Evi's antics -- and considering her recent track record with the local police, we don't expect the minor crime to get solved any time soon.

(Page 1 of 1)Its pretty obvious someone sympathetic to law enforcement officer James Davis did this.
I'm betting no suspects are ever even interviewed.
Where are these two people from? West Virginia or the Ozarks?
why didnt they just try and tear it down.... as stupid as it looks i wouldnt be surprized if it weasnt the quaides who did it to get some publicity
Does anyone here live near the Quaids? Is it just her that's wacked out or is Randy just as crazy? This Evi broad I tell ya, it seems like "the ovens on but the bread ain't rising" with this one.
I drove down to Marfa and took pictures of the truck (before & after). Yes, the truck is just parked out there in the middle of downtown Marfa with the burned sign. Working with the local paper has its advantages like reading the complaint she made towards the deputy. I haven't met them but this whole ordeal sure has people talking around town.
Evi could have gone to Marfa to rip off the very unique Prada store.
