My feeling as a 20+ year David Letterman fan is that he got married for his son, and that's about it. Regina has been in his life since 1986 but no marriage until 2009, years after his son was born. I feel bad for David. I appreciate his candor. God bless and all the haters can ask themselves if they've ever cheated. If not, so be it. If so, shut the F up.

They say Halderman's actions were ones of "desperation" and they are "alarming and dangerous."
Of course his actions showed desperation. He desperately wanted to cash that $2 million check. He's not the smartest criminal that's for sure.
I think Letterman may lose more than $2 million in advertising alone. He was in a position of power and he abused his authority. At any other corportation, he'd be fired immediately. What a hypocrite!

This is such sweet Karma for creepy Dave and his constant sex jokes about women and a certain Governors children. IMO, Halderman is a hero and Letterman needs to be off the air.

$6800/month in spousal and child support is just over $81K a year. On a $214K salary (about $120K after taxes), this guy is left with $40K to live on⦠or ½ of what he pays in support. Factor in his wife moved across the country and I can understand why he snapped. I think there are many injustices which happened in this case starting with the ex-wife and the court system. Donât get me wrong⦠Halderman needs to stand for his crimes⦠but we need to be aware of the tragedy behind the scenes caused by a bitter divorce and a court system which canât do math.
The really funny thing? With Halderman now in jail, her checks just dried up. Maybe there is justice after all.
