I wish Captain Phil a swift and full recovery.
Maybe he'll come away from this willing to speak on the dangers of heavy smoking and drinking. Even if you never watched the show you can see the damage done by the heavy smoking and drinking all over his face.
He's lucky to be alive on many levels.

No one is safe from stroke. Here's a guy that was the picture of great health, really took care of himself, did everything right. And even he had a stroke. Boy, you just never know!

Ha Ha Ha!
Serves him right for Killing and overfishing the waters for all those poor crabs. Paybacks are are a motherf...!

I hope this stroke puts him out of commission for good. The crabs are resting easier with one less ahole overfishing the waters.
That's what he gets for being a greedy bastard!

I live on St. Paul Island, Alaska, where he suffered his stroke. He also suffered a heart attack, and is paralyzed on the left side of his body.. it's so sad.

Gosh, a guy who smokes 3 packs a day and eats 13 pork chops a day has a stroke. This guy is the biggest douche bag.

PC45-You must be joking right. Trying to get a rise out of your post?

"He did everything right"?? Oh, yea, sure right. Smoking pack after pack after pack of cigarettes? That was healthy. Eating pounds of pork chops? Yup, healthy there too. Drinking Redbull? That is definately healthy. Working on a ship with no sleep and lots of stress? Double yup there also.

I'm sure he was a nice guy but don't make him out to be a saint. He's a poor role model, not that he was making himself out to be one, but just read the many postings here praising him like he was a saint. Right now he's out of the business. The damage that occurred is irreversible and he'll never be on a boat again or do anything remotely normal with the paralysis.

So much for living life the right way!

Fish pimpin aint easy! Its easy to say quit smoking and eat right but most are quick to criticise. Stress hurts and most cant comprehend stress as it relates to your real life.
A change would be good if not the best option. The call of the wild has taken many good peeps.
I love and respect people who make it a point to love thier kids. The show is only a small portion of the greatness you eminate
Fight it brother get better for them!
Us OG's got to stick together!!!
