Jackson's parents and several of his siblings were front and center for the 25-minute hearing. The judge ruled as a condition to bail, Murray cannot be in possession of (or prescribe) anesthetics and specifically mentioned Propofol. At one point the judge said, "I do not want you sedating people."

Murray had to surrender his passport.

Murray will be in court again on April 5.

But sadly, Michael also failed himself and his children. He shares responsibility. MJ was paying doctors going back years to put him under. It was MJ's choice and demand to be in that bedroom with an IV in his arm. Anyone that has ever had surgery has seen everything you are hooked up to when being put under, could no way think they were safe in a bedroom with limited precautions. MJ was not naive. He just thought he was invincible and could buy whatever he wanted. Money can buy you most anything else in this world, and you will always find someone unethical enough to take the money and do something stupid. Both MJ and Murray are responsible.

Hang the SOB. If he had treated a member of my family the way he did MJ I would want a 2nd degree murder charge too. This man deserves a lot more than 4 years and should never be allowed to practice medicine again anywhere. Especially not here in Houston. Let him rot in jail like so many others that are there a much lessor crimes. California has the worst judicial system in the country.

Maybe this will help Michael rest in peace because his killer will finally get what he deserves. A swift serving of justice.

29. OH BOY!
This is not what MJ would have wanted...for another to be treated like he was.
An enquiry would have been the right thing here
making sure the medicine bottle explains clearly this is only to be used in a hospital setting...also the law changed to reflect this.

The "enquiry" is DONE. It was called an 'criminal investigation'.

As to the 'medicine bottle' thing.....????? Yeah, that 'medicine bottle' should have only been used by an anesthesiologist in a hospital. Anesthesiologists just KNOW that Propofol is only used in a hospital setting:) They don't really need to 'check the label' to know this.

I see that some people are ready to blame the real victim here--Michael Jackson. Why are they so ready to accept that Michael on the morning of June 25th requested drugs of Dr. Murray? We have only Dr. Murray's uncorroborated word that Michael made such a request. Be honest. Would the farmer ask the fox if he ate the chickens in the hen house and expect an truthful admission?
