Hey, geniuses and particularly eNuffofU... greens, in addition to being a typical food item consumed by black folks, also happens to be a staple food item for ANYONE in the south, regardless of race. YOU are the one turning this into a race issue. I'm a SOUTHERNER, and I'm WHITE. Collard greens aren't a "black" thing per say, they are a SOUTHERN THING. Paula Deen is from the south as well...and it's a southerner's first line of thought when thinking of food that is full of vitamins and FIBER.
You might not be from the south, so YOU are probably being RACIST in assuming that COLLARD GREEN'S are a "black" thing, simply because the only people you know, in YOUR area, that eat collard greens are black....maybe YOU are the racist and generalizing.
ANYONE who grew up in the SOUTH, ate collard greens, no matter what color their skin was.
