Nike Resurrects Tiger's Dad for New Commercial

4/7/2010 7:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Tiger Woods is being scolded by his father from beyond the grave -- in a new commercial that can only be described as an artsy PR effort to humanize the golfer.

In the ad, Tiger stands stoically as the voice of his deceased dad, Earl Woods, urges his son to reflect on his life.

wow Tiger...you really think you can redeem yourself through your fathers voice on a commercial? Ugh you are more arrogant than I thought. Just go on with your life and give it time. You screwed up, big time, the cards will fall will they should.

What goes around comes around, sure fits the bill for you 2 guys. Since your Father never gave you the right advise covering this kind of behavior, I'll do it for him!......YOU DONT SH*T WHERE YOU EAT, SON!!!

Just when you think the hype is winding down. Really Tiger? Dragging your Dad into this?? Do the words "In poor taste" mean anything? You need to improve your image, not put it through the ringer again. FIRE YOUR PR REP!!!

OMG, his dad asked him did he learn anything?!?!? FTW! Are you kidding me, really? He had XXX sex with a lot of girls while keeping it a secret from his WIFE. I'm sure that those women taught him many things along the way. Nike and Tiger really SUCK!

Personal life = personal. Work life = work. I know that he made some poor decisions in his life and will have to pay for those bother personally and publically. However, I think that he should not have to explain himself to the world. He will however have alot of time for him and his family to discuss the ramifications of his actions. Poor taste in PR NIKE! Tiger probably was faced with not much choice regarding production of this commercial. On behalf of the public Tiger... Sorry for interfering with what should have been a personal event. Most importantly I am sorry for your wife and children who will have to deal with the publics opinions and "solutions" to the matter. Only Tiger and his family should make those up between themselves.
