Anyone ever notice that if a film opens and is not 1st place in sales, it's considered a bomb? Why is this? Jonah Hex made $5.1 million in one week. Everyone considers it a bomb. Kinda seems that films are only being made with the expectation of being #1 - which makes me wonder how many great films are not being made because some stuffy executive somewhere doesn't think it will come in first place?
Maybe this is why Hollywood is doing nothing but remaking old movies and making sequels to trash like Transformers.
I think it's time for all the old executives in Hollywood to retire and let some new blood in the industry. Then maybe we would get some good movies.

Jonah Hex cost forty-seven million dollars to produce and it took in just over five million dollars in the first week. It could possibly bring in a million or two in the second week and a couple of million in DVD sales. So now it has to do thirty-eight million in foreign ticket sales just so the movie breaks even and pays for itself - and that ain't going to happen. Basically every person who backed the movie financially lost their money. So yeah, the movie was a colossal bomb.
