Two of Michael Jackson's kids have taken a big step -- leaving homeschool for one of the most exclusive private schools in the country.
TMZ has learned 13-year-old Prince and 12-year-old Paris started at The Buckley School in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday.
Family sources tell TMZ ... Prince wanted to go to Buckley to have "a social experience." Initially, Paris was reluctant but changed her mind in a big way.
As for 8-year-old Blanket -- he's still going to be homeschooled. Katherine Jackson feels he's too young to venture out.
Among the alums -- Matthew Perry, Alyssa Milano, Nicole Richie, Nicollette Sheridan and Laura Dern.
By the way, some other grads even went on to do sex tapes and became famous -- Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.

This comment is entirely inappropriate on a board covering children. TMZ never ceases to amaze me...just when I think they couldn't sink any lower, they hit a new low.
I hope they like the school, and I hope the other kids are nice to them. They seem like such sweet children...MJ raised them right.
Leave these kids alone. Let them live normal lives for God's sake. They didn't ask/want to be in the spotlight. Find some other news.
Good for them, wish them all the best. Starting a new school is always scary.
I hope the media leaves them alone at least let them grow and enjoy childhood without dodging paps.
Just let them be kids.
With the exception of MS HILTON & MS KARDASIAN, these kids
will "BE MOVING ON FROM THIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL" and get educated for sure.
TMZ - why are you doing this ? Involving a negative story about Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian to try to manipulate the readers to think Michael's kids will do the same ?
Please leave the kids alone without all these negative allusions !!!
Their was NO editorial need to publish the name of the school! Buckley is NOT set up to deal with the level of media attention or the onslaught of gawker curiosity that publishing this information will generate. Any media outlet that does so compromises the safety and security of an entire student body. Whoever pulled the pin on this one really blew it. Freedom of the press need not be the antithesis of a responsible press.
Its time to back-off these kids and allow them to get back to the business of being children.
Everyone knows kids these days just spend all their time in school on Fireviews from their laptops!

Yes TMZ have done it again. Once again TMZ have proved but they are nothing but Sewer Rat Journos. Can't get much lower than this....except than to mention exactly what school they will be attending and on what day. Good going Idiots. Like going to a school for the first time in their lives wont be daunting enough as it is. GEEZ!!!!!!
HEY, whoever wrote or edited this article... should be ashamed.. it's putting TMZ into a bad light. Why on God's Green Earth would you want to imply disgusting characteristics about former alumni from that school.. Especially CHILDREN... not to mention the kids of MJ. Your making so many assumptions here that
"MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE" because you do not have ALL the FACTS.
You state:

How could you have forseen all of this and how do you know the LEVEL OF PREPAREDNESS THIS SCHOOL HAS, IN L.A. WHERE THERE ARE SO MANY CELEBRITIES THAT HAVE ACTUALLY USED THIS SCHOOL, SUCH AS THE HILTON'S AND the KARDASHIANS (OJ made their Dad famous when they were in school years back)
Especially after 911 when schools became labeled "soft targets"
they will be taking the precautions and following the gov. guidelines. They have taken into consideration the size of this city and the type of community it is in, for sure, and much, much, more.
Rushing to judgement may not be such a good idea.
