Steven Slater Flies Again ... But Not JetBlue

10/18/2010 4:13 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater is taking his business elsewhere -- dude boarded a non-JetBlue aircraft today ... and no, he wasn't seated anywhere near an emergency exit.

Steven Slater
TMZ has obtained photos of Slater catching a US Airways flight this morning from Charlotte, North Carolina to New York City -- where he's required to appear in Queens County Criminal Court tomorrow over his infamous post-flight meltdown.

As we previously reported, Slater -- who faces 7 years in prison for charges including reckless endangerment -- agreed to voluntarily admit himself into a mental health program as part of a possible plea deal.

We'll be covering the case ... so stay tuned.

Finally, someone admitting that mental help is what's really needed. homosexuality is a mental illness masquerading as a lifestyle. Glad he's getting help.

I just read a CNN article about this. They still claim he was hit in the head with a suitcase and or the overhead bin. According to CNN he was cursed by a passenger and this was the reason for his rant.

Didn't TMZ already prove there was no "other" passenger and that he made up the story of being hit in the head. Wasn't the real reason he was upset was because of an argument with his boyfriend? This is why he came to work drunk, was on the place drunk and opened the emergency slide?

CNN writers seem to be either lazy or not willing to use TMZ as a credible source......

Average cost of incarceration: $25,895
Time 7 years: $181,265
For the people who want to see this guy go to jail, YOU PAY FOR IT!
Get real. Dude had enough with his job and left. So what if he broke a couple rules, he didn't hurt anyone, and you guys are stupid if you think he put anyone at risk.

His prank was the funniest thing I have ever seen in the media, ever! So what if he took the passengers for a lil detour and provided free entertainment, in reality, it was no more dangerous than a unknown, distracted or drunk pilot. He was fed up and I think a lot of people connected with his anger and frustration no matter his 'true' reason. I'm not gay, I'm a married woman, but I will say that the anti gay sentiment here reeks of hate, intolerance and judgment. The man gave thousands a belly laugh that I won't forget, so give him a break and stop with the hating. He's paying for what he did, no one was hurt, so let him move on in his life.
