TMZ has learned the L.A. County District Attorney has charged T.I.'s wife -- Tameka Cottle -- for possessing the drug ecstasy when the couple was arrested on Sunset Strip last month. 
If convicted, Tameka could face up to a year behind bars.
As we previously reported, the D.A. has elected not to prosecute T.I. for charges stemming from the incident, noting that the rapper will already be serving time in Georgia for a probation violation stemming from the L.A. arrest.

Why is it in the same state- You have paris and Lindsey who get busted all the time, and the D.A. doesnt even pursue charges, but let a black couple get caught, and they will serve a year.

Well in case you havent noticed.. blacks get convictions twice as fast as whites. although T.I's wife is also at the same time a non-violent offender with from what i understand a clean record= very hard to get a conviction..
this could be her 1st offense and since she's not on probation for anything she's likely to go free with only a fine and some community service/anger management clss.. i doubt up-front she does a year.. and even if so if the judge had the balls to convict.. she would automatically by default get an appeal..
Paris and Lindsey must KILL SOMEONE or Hurt Someone seriously as in physically prove their menaces to society in order to catch a conviction.. and it sure as hell wont be happening anytime soon.
blacks get screwed in courts needless to say which is why they should not be out doing the same thing to get them there.
if they did it.. they MUST pay for it since they got themselves busted..
ignorance is a bliss when you look at the entire situation of these mentioned stars. and its there fault no one elses but there's for getting even involved.
if they know the courts are against them in race and guick to convict then why on earth do the crime anyway? and she's a mother at that! What a stupid AZZ

If Tiny can get one year for having Ecstasy, then Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan should be serving jail time right now. And should have gottne sentenced to at least 5-10 yrs.

When Lindsay was caught with coke both time the first time it was in found in her car after she fled the scene and was below the felony amount.
The 2nd time the evidence was contaminated.
She plead guilty to two counts of DWI
Apparently her and T.I were caught with ecstasy so i don't know how that works out but when her husband is in prison she will probably get probation.

I still don't understand how they can say they won't prosecute him because the arrest means he will be doing jail time anyhow. But, if he's not prosecuted, then he's done nothing to violate his probation and shouldn't be in jail. Since when is getting pulled over but not charged with anything breaking the law, and thus grounds for violating someone's probation? What did he do to get thrown back in jail (and no, having a butt ugly wife doesn't count)? I thought they said they didn't have enough evidence to prosecute, so in the laws eyes, no laws were broken. As far as I have heard, the worst he did was a U-turn, which was enough for them to haul him out of the car without even bothering to do the usual procedures for a traffic stop before cuffing him. I couldn't care less who he is, but this just seems wrong.

He was associating with a convicted felon that was involved in the incident that he was on probation for.
Then as he was driving he took and failed a drug test which is a violation.
If he just had the drugs and fought it then he probably wouldn't have got his probation revoked.
