Alleged Arizona Shooter -- Crazy Rambling Videos

1/9/2011 12:57 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Jared Lee Loughner -- the 22-year-old man who allegedly shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 17 other people -- posted a series of videos to YouTube within the past month ... and it's both shocking and crazy.

The videos are a series of written slides -- topics include the Constitution, dreams, currency and mind control.

Loughner's profile page on YouTube lists his school history, interests, and favorite books (including "Animal Farm," "Brave New World" and "Mein Kampf") -- all written in the past tense.

His 'friend' from High School said he seemed all normal until he had ALCOHOL POISONING 3 YEARS AGO. Probably (and I do have a health background) had these things stirring in him, but he was able to hold it together UNTIL THEN. After the AP, he probably had brain damage, on top of whatever else was going on in his brain and it was DOWN HILL FROM THEN. This girl said after the ap, he withdrew, quit college, work, etc and stayed at home with his parents, walked his dog, listening to his walkman.... Why did no one pick up on this, or if someone did, they were probably, and poor wording here, 'shoot down' with the words, 'your crazy, Jared is just going thru a phase, he'll get better'.... Maybe someone tried, but most likely, NO.

Clearly this is the ramblings of a mentally disturbed person. He wrote that two of his favorite books were The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf (from what I've seen on the news). Putting political affiliation isn't right. He's sick. And he's done a sick thing.

Definitely rings of a schizophrenic tone to me. And, like previous poster said, late teens/early 20s is the prime time for these tendencies to start appearing. My guess, he's been having these delusional, disconnected thoughts for quite some time. It's really too bad that someone close to him didn't have him committed before this all took place. God bless all those effected by the shooting. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

To the idiot who said, "sounds like the tea party" shame on you. tea party members are just normal folks who believe in less government and lower taxes.

And I don't give a rip that this loon spouted off stuff about the constitution. I refuse to be silent while our government tries to be everything to everybody. I don't want to lose my freedom.

The guy isn't left-wing or right-wing or anywhere in between. He's just pulling out whatever extreme stuff he can find anywhere (Nazis and Communists were never on the same side of the spectrum, dearhearts - Hitler sent Communists off to the death camps). He's just very ill - and dangerous with a gun.

It certainly doesn't help the mentally disturbed when politicians use hunting metaphors to describe election campaigns - hopefully Sarah has learned a little lesson here, even if only about bad publicity from such an approach. But she didn't cause his problems.

And yes, it's important to try to figure out how to minimize the risk of a disturbed individual like this fellow having access to firearms. He could gave done some damage with a kitchen knife, but not as fast. That's the problem with guns - they make it too easy to kill repeatedly at a distance. So many kids have died because someone had a gun, so a dispute that would have resulted in a bloody nose otherwise ended up with a trigger being pulled.

We have a problem in this country that will be very difficult to solve. Once you have so many guns in circulation - people often feel they need one for defense. Which of course provides a major source of guns for criminals... as well as increased risk that you will shoot your dog, your daughter, or your husband by mistake. Ask any police officer. Then there are those who are convinced that stockpiling guns will protect them against bad government. Gotta be more creative, folks - any government can out-gun the gun owners. There are other ways to successfully deal with tyrants.

In response to comment 8, Traci, do you really think this guy uses good grammar? If so then I think you must have attended Pima Community College as well.

This whole thing is very sad. My sympathy to the victims. All of them, including the poor deluded young man. He will be given medication, and understand the horrible finality of what he has done. Where was his family? friends? People saw this going wrong, and instead of taking the hard road, stopped listening to him...and walked away. How many people could have intervened. Mental Health should not be neglected, a simple Psyche assessment could have prevented all of this sorrow.

I guess no one has ever heard of the name Tesla, or the fact that the government CAN use certain aspects of mind control...just look up the Alaskan Death Ray, it definitely exists, and it can do things none of us have every imagined...especially talk to you, IN your head. So maybe this kids story DOES make sense, and maybe it was all government controlled. Think about it, how many 22 year olds are openly targeting members of congress...none to my knowledge, nor would anyone have a reason to...this all seems like a big fishy cover up to me.

This guy must have went to the same school Sarah 'The Idiot' Palin went to. It is the same non-coherent gibberish she speaks in the media.

Why are you people in the media continuing to focus only on this congresswoman who got shot when a 9 year old little girl (who incidently was born on 9/11/01) and a judge were also shot but they died. This congresswoman is still alive.

Sounds like a bitter guy that failed English, Math and Economics courses at Pima Community College. He's mad that he can't pick up on the way we do things so he decided he would make up his own wackadoo alphabet, numerals and currency. He talks in one giant word problem like he's saying, "Hey, You shouldn't have failed me in that class because I can make and answer my own word problems."
