Charlie Sheen:

Thanks For Having

My Back Boss

2/2/2011 8:10 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen compares himself to legendary actor -- and party animal -- Errol Flynn ... in a new statement thanking the big studio honchos for their support.

In his first statement since beginning outpatient rehab ... Charlie said, "I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support  I have received from so many people."

Charlie continues, "I want to say "thank-you" to my fellow cast members, the crew of "Two and a Half Men", and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support. "

He wraps it up with a nod to Flynn, saying ... "And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much. Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion,  I just want to say, "thank-you."

My favorite show..makes me howl..great acting by entire cast & kudos the brilliant writers. Sheen may be a train wreck, & clearly needs some rehab time, but his Producer sounds like a major jerk-and jealous of Charlie. Frankly, Sheen's personal life is crazy & weird, but whose biz is that...not ours. If he leaves the show, it will fall flat. The other actors are great, but he is the connection that ties it together. Doesn't anyone wonder what is really eating him, however, that after 2 million a week, which the rest of us will never enjoy, he is still miserable...pretty clear to me that the issues are deep-sorry for him. Don't a lot of you intensely dislike your bosses & wish you could tell the truth of your feelings-well, he did..hahahah..maybe he's been represded for too long & that's why the "acting out". Stupid, he's not, spoiled & out of touch with normal reality, yes, but talented, no question, and I don't want to see him leave the show-period. I hope he gets some counseling-& gets out of his self-destruct mode, but meanwhile, if he can pull it together to show up for work, WHAT biz is it of anyone's what his personal Achilles heel is--you have them, too-be careful of casting stones when you all live in glass houses. Fame & too much $$$ are not blessings-they are curses because stars don't know who loves them for themselves-or if they are just being used. YOU all can't know about his pressures--there's more with tons of $$$$--but I would like to find out how it feels to have the freedom of all bills paid & money for too bad he doesn't know how the rest of us live...but he doesn't, so don't judge him. None of you have walked in his shoes.
