Lane Garrison -- Prison Was My 'Worst Nightmare'

4/6/2011 3:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Former "Prison Break" star Lane Garrison is a changed man after serving two years behind bars -- claiming his lengthy prison stint was "a painful experience that I would wish on no one."

Lane Garrison Prison Break
Garrison -- who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter back in 2007 for a drunk driving crash that killed a 17-year-old boy -- opened up in L.A. yesterday ... calling his experience in the clink his "worst nightmare."

Check out the clip ... and remember, kids -- never, ever drink and drive.

It's amazing that after killing another person because he was DRUNK driving, he still doesn't reject alcohol all together.

Drunk drivers that kill should get their drinking privileges taken away for life, PERIOD.

Did Lane learn the pain and the pleasure of satisfying the black man?

So sad to hear that two years behind bars was "his worst nightmare". I would have thought killing an innocent teenage boy by driving drunk would have been his worst nightmare!!!!!!!

My brother was killed in 1989 by a drunk driver so I can say from experience that the family of the victim is living a nightmare much worse that anything Lane Garrison has gone through.

Did you know that POS was originally sentenced 40 months, but was released two years earlier-for "good behavior"... [good-old-celebrity injustice. The courts play this game to throw the public off the scent. that's where the attorney's cut a "deal" with the knowledge that he'll never serve the full term.

If I was locked up, I would be beyond livid... People have gotten 2 year sentences for stealing cigarettes.

I don't understand what a 27 yr old was doing at a high school party TO BEGIN WITH. Did he have no social order? He must have been really immature or a child predator. It was an accident. He never would have intentionally done this. I am unsure how long is enough prison time. I suppose it depends on what prisons are for: to punish or to reform. He seems reformed. If it is to punish, nothing other than his death seems good enough for those seeking blood on this site. I wouldn't wish the death or the "murder" on anyone. It is a lose lose.

Right about now I'm thinking he's figured out that was a BAD thing to say...not very sensitive.

Everyone commenting on here...should be looking up your State Senator, Congressman and local Mayor...calling, writing, texting, tweeting...

THAT YOU WANT EVERY PERSON APPLYING FOR A DRIVERS LICENSE TO SIGN A FORM ACKNOWLEDGING THAT RECEIVING A LICENSE TO DRIVE IS A PRIVILEGE, THAT THEIR FIRST MURDER WHILE DRIVING DRUNK WILL RESULT IN A MURDER CHARGE WILL ALL OF THE SENTENCING GUIDELINES.

First time DUI offenders sign that kind of paperwork so that if they do it again, and KILL someone? They are charged with murder.

Why give the benefit of the doubt...sign the same paper in the DMV before receiving your license...that way EVERYONE knows the consequences and there is no wiggling out after A LOUSY TWO YEARS!.

You call two years in prison for killing a 17-year-old boy as a "lengthy prison stint"?!?!?! Who's the ******* douchebag that wrote that?!?!? He got off easy!

Why don't we ask the 17 year old boy whom you killed how he feels about your lousy 2 year prison stint for killing him. You don't seem to understand just how lucky you are. If you were a minority (especially black) who killed that boy you wouldn't be walking along that street again for at least 20-25 years.

Dang y'all, ease up on the dude.
He made a terrible mistake with tragic results.
He manned up and accepted responsibility.
He took society's lawful punishment and served his time.
Here in the USA, that's it, it's over.
NONE of us are perfect, we have all done something for which we need forgiveness.

I am glad it was his worst nightmare. It's too bad he isn't still behind bars. Two years for killing an innocent person is a joke.
