6/23/2011 12:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Ryan Dunn's wrecked Porsche 911 GT3 is now sitting in a tow yard ... just a few miles from Monday's fatal crash ... and all that's left is a mangled heap of obliterated car parts.

Why is this low? By posting this picture, maybe some kids will see it and decide it's NOT cool to drive 100+ mph while intoxicated.

There is a wrecked truck parked by a highway I drive down, with a sign about the person who died in it. Sometimes a graphic reminder of the finality of death is what it takes to get people to slow down.

Sort of reminds me of James Dean Porsche. Speed and booze was also a factor.

It's all fun and games until somebody gets killed.

I agree with most here that it would perhaps do some good for this "car" to make the rounds of High Schools throughout the USA as an example.

I'm positive that seeing it in person (ask the guy who took the photos) is MUCH more chilling than just looking at the photos, put yourself in what's left of those two seats, imagine those last seconds when they both knew.

They should take those crumpled remains on a tour of every high school in America. Seriously.

I don't think this is low of TMZ or disrespectful. It's NECESSARY. People need to see what happens when you drive drunk or speed!
There are worse things shown in high schools! And I highly doubt his family/friends are on here looking for news about the crash anyway. If they are, no one is forcing them!

Bee, read my last line. No one is forcing you to come to this site or any other and read/see the details of the accident. YOU give it a rest!

Were they still in the "car" when the bodies were removed or had they been thrown from the "car"? It feels strange calling it a car because it resembles nothing of the sort other than tire.
