You are slipping in the fact check department, TMZ! The Bozo "franchise" used regional actors - (example: Chicago's WGN used the late Bob Bell). He may have been a regional Bozo, but he is NOT Bozo for most of the country!

None of my kids liked clowns, and two of them were outright scared of them.
I read somewhere that in the old days clowns were ex-cons who had to wear make-up so nobody would recognize them so they could work. Also read that they were alcoholics who needed make-up to look presentable.

It doesnt matter who the first or last was, the man that brought Bozo and the franchise to international prominence was a man by the name of Larry Harmon, he eventually ended up owning the rights to Bozo, Laurel and Hardy and several other characters. NOBODY made Bozo what he is and was but Larry Harmon

My god.

I was on the BOZO THE CLOWN show when I was 5 years old.

I remember my dad driving my mom and me to the studio in Los Angeles. I missed school that morning - which back then... was a major NO-NO.

We drew on sheets of colored paper that had a pretzel glued to the middle of the paper. My cousin ate her pretzel and got smacked by her mother.

Yeah.

That was all about 100 years ago...

@Fred Farkel - the Bozo show was filmed exclusively in Chicago. No way you were on the show if your mom drove you to Los Angeles.
