Strange thing is, I was there a year ago, traveled from Belfast to London - even though they use the same currency, each country prints their own. The Irish printed pound sterling dollars had to be exchanged for UK printed dollars, some merchants in England won't accept Irish printed sterling pound dollars. Republic of Ireland uses the Euro.
