It seems ironic ... but the brutal photo of "Glee" star Heather Morris sporting a fake black eye will be auctioned off soon ... and all of the proceeds will go towards a domestic violence charity ... TMZ has learned.
The photo ignited a major controversy when it was released on the Internet a few days ago -- with some critics saying it glamorizes violence against women.
But Tyler Shields, the photog behind the shot, tells us that was NOT the intention -- and he's sorry it came off that way.
Shields says ... to make up for the controversy, he'll be auctioning off the photo, starting at $100k, and will donate every single cent he makes to a top domestic violence charity.

As someone who has recently been a victim of domestic violence, I love this picture.
There is nothing good to say about this photo. A little disappointed because Morris is my fave glee character.

Is Sheilds suppose to be a 'shock' photographer? Better make-up and photo on a set. Of course, Sheilds is an 'artist'. Never intended when it backfires. 'A top' domestic violence charity? What the hell is that? What's 'A bottom' domestic violence charity? Curious.
How does this "glamorize" domestic violence?? She's not smiling or anything. So when you see a anti drug ad and it shows what the person will look like if they keep goin that route, that's "glamorizing" it? Powerful picture with a good cause.
She is still beautiful with a black eye, not many can pull that off!

I don't care what type of spin this jackass is trying to put on his photos, he's still a crappy photographer that gets off on photographing graphic violence. But I don't believe he necessarily is trying to glamorize violence "against women" at all. I just think he's into glamorizing violence period. And it seems that is the only type of photos we see from him. Bloody knives, blood splattered walls, blood dripping from Blohans teeth, yada yada yada. The man is just a freak, and he gets off on controversy. Why do you think he's always snapping pics of LiLo?
realizing the offencivness of the photo and surprised that it didn't generate positive but negative buzz......the offender now makes a shallow calculated attempt to redeem himself
...so raising money for domestic violence was the last thing on his mind and the vain attempt to salvage his reputation is obvious to everyone
why doesn't he at least match the winning bid out of his own pocket- that would show more class and sensitivity than giving someone else's money (the winning bidder) to the cause
...then again-it's all publicity for him and not a heartfelt gesture it seems...
AND
TMZ should not just show this part cropped out of the photo-they need to show the entire photo and all the photos so people can see what the outcry is about!
