Jackson Family Members

Find Your Own Way Home

10/15/2011 11:54 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned ... several members from the Jackson family are going to have to find their own way home from Wales -- because the company that was supposed to provide them with a flight back has pulled their tickets ... because of a HUGE outstanding bill.

As TMZ first reported, Entertainment Travel Company claims that Global Live (the company behind the Michael Jackson tribute concert last week) owes $200,000 for plane tickets the company  booked for the Jackson family, Christina Aguilera, her crew, Jamie Foxx, Heavy D, roughly 15 Global Live employees and others.

Now a rep for Entertainment Travel Company tells us they had no choice but to yank the tickets which were earmarked for two members of the band 3T (TJ and Taryll) and two of their children ... because of the unpaid tab.

The company rep says they held out for as long as they could and the next step is to contact a lawyer.

A rep for Global Live could not be reached for comment.

EVERYTHING about this LaToya/Global Live FAKE charity/tribute concert has been suspect from the start, so this development is NO SURPRISE. Remember that GLE said they were going to present checks to the charities on stage, with more money to come later? As far as I know, IT NEVER HAPPENED, and NOBODY reported on it. Remember when one reason they gave for the original exhorbitant ticket prices was that this was a "one-off" tribute concert for MJ NEVER TO BE REPEATED? Now we learn that the Jacksons and their posse plan to hold ANNUAL MJ "tributes." In fact, they're not even waiting a year for the next one -- it's in Japan in December, and they're claiming it's a "BENEFIT CONCERT" to help the children of Japan because of the quake. Only problem is, the only money going to charity is the PROFITS from MERCHANDISE SOLD (e.g., $15 mugs, $30 T-shirts). (Note: It is NOT the REVENUE from merchandise sold, only the PROFITS: Revenue - Expenses = Profits.) NO MONEY FROM TICKET PRICES OR ANYTHING ELSE IS GOING TO CHARITY.

QUESTION: Can you advertise a FOR-PROFIT concert as a BENEFIT concert when NONE of the money from ticket prices or anything else is going to charity? IT'S ANOTHER JACKSON SCAM, USING MICHAEL'S REPUTATION FOR CHARITY TO DECEIVE PEOPLE INTO LINING THE JACKSONS' POCKETS!!!

Seems to me this should be illegal. When you tell people you're giving a "benefit" concert, aren't there standards as to a minimum percentage of the ticket revenue that must be donated to the charity?

Wow if paying for a plane ticket would break them then, maybe they should stay home like the rest of us......

Following the massive success of Michael Forever — The Tribute Concert in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, Michael Jackson’s ESTATE is planning two more tributes to the fallen star. Michael’s siblings will perform in Tokyo, Japan; proceeds will go towards Japan’s ASHINAGA charity, which helps child survivors of the tragedy.

I blame mostly MJ fans. You guys have to boost the sales of his remake stuffs after his death and allowed his deadbeat family milk it thereafter. Should of left the family destitute since day one when we found out the estate owed a substantial amount of debt. Now we have to face his family's idiocy as well as their delusional stardom dream of making a comeback through this so called "MJ tribute concert" :/ We probably have to tolerate this for a very long time since there are probably enough money still for them to continue these nonsense.

To Canreadbutnotwrite:

I am glad that you found the articles I post to be informative and interesting to read. That is the reason for my posting them in the first place - for those interested to read.

So you are from Germany? Pleased to meet you! Like you and so many others - I too Love MJ and am at a lost since his passing. Its like a hole in my life now that cannot be filled. But I do wish that the charges against Murray had been Murder 1 or 2 instead, I do believe that he is Guilty as all Sin! And as Human Nature pointed out - Murray's life won't be worth squat if he is not im prison for his crimes! JMO

Ethical complaints against Jose Baez move forward
Posted: 12:23 PM ET

While this blog is dedicated to coverage of the Conrad Murray trial, we know many In Session and HLN viewers have been closely following the Casey Anthony case and wanted to be sure to include this important update on that story.

The Florida Bar will continue to pursue two complaints filed against Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez. The details of what sparked these complaints have not been disclosed to the public, but it’s widely speculated they stem from Baez’s representation of Casey Anthony.

The complaints will to go to a grievance committee, which is comparable to a grand jury. The grievance committee will rule on whether to bring charges against Baez.

In August, Baez told CNN, "I am looking forward to the Bar completing its investigation, so that it can be dismissed just like the 20 previous complaints. It is part of the job whenever you fight an unpopular case."

If the 10-member committee - made up of attorneys and non-attorneys from the Orlando area - believes the investigation’s findings establish probable cause, the complaints would then go the Florida Supreme Court, which could then discipline Baez.

The trial of Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson will be delayed Monday, as a witness for the prosecution, anesthesiology expert Dr. Steven Shafer, will not be able to testify because of the death of his father.

"Resumption of the trial will be announced when further information is available," the court said in a statement Sunday.

Shafer, who briefly testified before Thursday’s session was concluded, was slated to testify Monday that Murray's use of propofol was negligent in his care of the late King of Pop, using scientific explanations to support his idea.

When Shafer returns from his father's funeral, Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said, his testimony will last a day.

After Shafer testifies, defense lawyer Nareg Gourjian said, the defense will begin their presentation.

Murray is standing trial in Jackson‘s death at 50 from acute intoxication of a powerful anesthetic complicated by other sedatives. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison, as well as losing his medical license.

Dr. Conrad Murray Trial Will Resume WednesdayDr. Conrad Murray Trial Will Resume Wednesday

AP/WENNBy Radar Staff

Dr. Conrad Murray's trial in connection with Michael Jackson's death will resume on Wednesday, is reporting.

Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor made the announcement Monday morning at a hearing attended by the District Attorney and the cardiologist's lawyers; the jury wasn't present.

Today's session of the trial was canceled after the father of the prosecution's final witness died this weekend, but Judge Pastor ordered the delay of one more day so that Murray's defense team can get more details from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office test results of Lorazepam levels in Jackson's body at the time he died.

As previously reported Dr. Murray's lawyers are going to mount a defense based on the theory that Lorazepam killed Jackson, and not acute Propofol intoxication, as Jackson's cause of death.

"This case isn't about Propofol, Michael Jackson didn't die from that. He died because of an extremely high level of Lorazepam found in his body," a source close to Dr. Murray tells

"The defense whole heartedly disagrees with the findings of the coroner that Michael Jackson died of acute Propofol intoxication. Michael Jackson's death certificate lists acute Propofol intoxication as the official cause of death, with other contributing factors of death: benzodiazepine effect. The benzodiazepine is Lorazepam," the source adds.

Dr. Mark Shafer, a prosecution expert witness about Propfol will resume his testimony on Wednesday morning.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren met recently with Michael Jackson's oldest son Prince and Katherine Jackson to discuss the possibility of the King of Pop's son being called to testify at the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.

The top secret meeting was held at Katherine's gated Calabasas residence. "Walgren met with Prince and Katherine Jackson to discuss Prince taking the stand. Katherine wants to ensure that Prince will be protected as much as possible," a Jackson family insider told

"Even though she is steadfastly against Prince testifying, she recognizes this is something that he very much wants to do. Remember, from testimony heard so far, when he discovered Michael Jackson wasn't breathing Murray told the chef to send Prince up to the bedroom. Dr. Murray brought Prince into this. Prince has information that is clearly relevant to the proceedings. Make no mistake, Prince would have been called as a witness already if he was an adult."

Prince would be called as a rebuttal witness by the prosecution, and that decision will be made by the District Attorney after the defense presents their case. "Prince does have information that would be helpful for the jury to hear. However, it's a double-edged sword of putting a child in this case on the stand. This could be very traumatic and Prince, despite all assurances that he can handle it, well, you never know until it actually happens," the source says." How would he do under cross examination from Dr. Murray's lawyers? How will he react to seeing Dr. Murray in court? The last time Prince saw Dr. Murray was the day his dad died, and a lot has changed in his world since then."

Prince and Katherine were told by the Deputy D.A., "there is a 50/50 chance that he will take the stand. Prince will be prepared if called to testify. Katherine and Prince trust the Deputy D.A., and Katherine knows that this is very, very important to her grandson, so in the end, she will not stand in the way of him doing this," the insider says.

Testimony will resume on Wednesday, October 19, with the prosecution's final witness, Dr. Steven Shafer, taking the stand once again.

Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, says the defense will call 15 witnesses.

PETA Calls For Federal Investigation Into Conrad Murray Propofol Study On Beagle DogsPETA Calls For Federal Investigation Into Conrad Murray Propofol Study On Beagle Dogs

The shocking news that Dr. Conrad Murray's defense team tested the drug Propofol on Beagle dogs to help with his case in the Michael Jackson death trial has outraged PETA so much that they're calling for a federal investigation, saying it would have caused "enormous suffering in the animals."

As exclusively reported, Dr. Murray's defense team commissioned a study testing the affects of the powerful anesthetic on Beagle dogs, to bolster their claim that Michael Jackson orally overdosed on the drug.

"I cannot imagine any use for this information at all," PETA's Vice President of Laboratory Kathy Guillermo exclusively told "These tests cause enormous suffering in animals."

PETA (the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization), filed a complaint with the U.S. Department o****riculture (USDA) on Monday alleging "cruel drug toxicity tests on beagles commissioned by the defense team of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician now on trial for his alleged role in Michael Jackson's death.

“PETA asserts that if attorneys from Flanagan, Unger, Grover & McCool did commission the tests for the drug propofol - the toxic effects of which have been extensively studied in dogs and humans - those tests were likely conducted in violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act's prohibition against tests on animals that duplicate previous experiments. PETA has filed a complaint with the State Bar of California as well."

Read PETA's Letter To The USDA

The animal rights organization is also requesting that the California State Bar investigate "how and why these cruel and archaic tests on beagles were allowed and, should violations of the law be found, to punish those responsible."

Whether or not the dogs died during the tests that Dr. Murray's team conducted is unclear, but PETA says the tests torture the innocent animals.

Read PETA's Complaint To The California Bar

"In toxicology tests, large doses of chemicals are pumped into dogs' bodies, slowly poisoning them. Substantial data are publicly available about the oral toxicity of propofol in dogs and other animals, and propofol toxicity and propofol infusion syndrome have been extensively studied in humans. PETA is calling on the USDA to also investigate whether the tests reportedly commissioned by Dr. Murray's defense team were conducted at a registered facility and whether they were properly reviewed and approved by an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee."

As PETA previously told, "This would have greatly upset Michael, who was known to be a huge animal lover. This was obviously a cruel attempt to drag out this trial and confuse the jurors, adding more victims to the death toll in this sad case."

Guillermo added: "If we find evidence that the testing occurred the USDA will cite the lab, but nothing is going to bring the dogs back."
