Joe Paterno's Son

Chokes Up After Game:

'Dad, I Wish You Were Here'

11/12/2011 12:56 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0_2l5zhgwx_0_s14r3zwgJoe Paterno's son -- Penn State's QB coach Jay Paterno -- just broke down during a postgame interview, tearing up as he addressed his father to the camera ... claiming, "Dad, I wish you were here. We love you."

Joe Paterno -- who was fired as head coach earlier this week following PSU's massive child abuse scandal -- did not attend the game.

Penn State lost to Nebraska 17-14.

Oh pahleeze. You are crying because:
a) the career you were handed due to your last name and father's power, is all but over.
b) the father you have idolized knew he worked with someone that sodomized children and did not make sure it stopped
c) your mother must be disgusted knowing she sleeps with a man that cares more about football than children.
d) daddyo sealed his reputation when his cult following showed up and at the last minute, he threw in that they should pray for the victims. If you know about it and don't stop it, you must condone it.
This whole story is so sickening I want to throw up. Why is that predator out on such a small amount of bail? Does the judge not say no to Jer as well? Maybe Jer payed receiver with him. Disgusting pigs, all of them.........who is the angry bird?

This is so upsettig! it's not hard to figure out why this investigation took so long...Pennsylvania wanted Joe to meet his milestones..this is so disgusting. He's looked the other way since the 90s because of football. I am furious as to how the media made Joepa out to be a victim and those bling followers praying for him. i hope they were praying for his soul. What a massive cover-up. i feel bad for the students. I feel totally destroyed about the victims bu talso bad for the students. I'm sure this will all sink in sone day..the most disgusting thing I've been around long enough to hear about.

@John while I agree with your sentiment this wasn't even about being gay - and this is from a Catholic - Gay men have a choice and typically fight with their own urges until they make peace. Young children are held against a wall and defiled. here's a huge difference between a gay man and what a 54 year old freak did to defenseless children! I am sure you agree just pointing out a "grammatical" difference.

Mattyman: If you honestly believe that Paterno knew absolutely nothing and that there was never a cover up to save their precious football program then you need to WAKE up and the smell the coffee. Oh sure Joe Paterno is such an upstanding citizen just as much as the COWARD McQueary who failed to save that boy from the rape he endured. Any normal, moral human being with information being presented them as such would have reported what they heard to the police immediately, and not only to school officials. We as adults have a moral and ethical obligation to protect our children and when you hear something of that caliber it should immediately be reported to POLICE!!!!

People are voicing more hatred for Paterno than Sandusky and McQueary. I am beginning to find this disturbing. Where are the masses screaming about Sandusky being out on bail? Everyone is so quick to go after Joe Paterno but are now forgetting about SANDUSKY!!!

Most of the comments around here are nolifers that know nothing about anything. They are fun to laugh at. If they are not crying because Lindsay Lohan isn't in jail they are embarrassing themselves trying to look like football experts. Fun show.

How embarrassing that you cried on national TV...your daddy must be so proud of his bouncing baby boy. What is with the weird daddy fixation at PedoU? Are they unable to function as normal people without daddy to guide them?

Hey Muppet open your eyes.the most powerful man there is you know who..keep lying to yourself. The world would have a lot more respect for Penn State if you stopped the excuses. Y'all have a CULT mentality.

Yes "Truth", because Lindsey and Jerry have so much in common. I know it will hurt, but let's see...DUI versus child sex abuse cover up...can you see the difference?

Well, cry baby, daddy would have been there if he didn't care more about protecting a stupid football program than the welfare of children.
