'Ringer' Star

The $25,000 Bust

... Before She HIT IT BIG!!!

11/23/2011 12:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Zoey Deutch
Disney star Zoey Deutch -- the daughter of "Back to the Future" actress Lea Thompson -- raked in $25,000 for her first ever network acting gig ... but the gravy train came to a screeching halt because the show got canned before it ever aired.

TMZ has obtained a copy of Zoey's contract for an ABC pilot entitled "Hallelujah" -- filed recently in L.A. County Superior Court -- and if you haven't heard about the show, don't worry ... it never got picked up.

According to the contract, Zoey (who starred on Disney's "The Suite Life on Deck") was paid $25,000 for 17 days of shooting -- presumably for the pilot -- with a promise of another $25,000 per episode thereafter if ABC picked it up.

Problem is ... ABC passed on the pilot this fall -- and the show's future is unclear.

No big deal for Zoey though -- she's currently starring in Sarah MichelleGellar's new CW drama "Ringer" ... and she's killing it.

TMZ, sometimes your attempts at sounding "hip" don't work out so well. Is she really killing it? You make seem like she's destroying the show. The other day you said JLo was "getting sick on the floor" which sounds like she was throwing up.

The pilot was named "Hallelujah"? EEEWWW, it was probably another one of those sappy saccharine pseudo-religious tear jerkers like "Touched by an Angel". The fact that it wasn't picked up is proof of the existence of God. I guess there is a reason to say "Alleluia"!

IMDB lists Hallelujah as a TV movie. Maybe they changed direction and aren't doing it as a series after all?
