Steve Guttenberg to LAPD:

Thanks for the Ride!

12/12/2011 3:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Steve Guttenberg walk of fame starSteve Guttenberg found himself in an LAPD squad car earlier today ...  and was hauled down Hollywood Blvd ... but TMZ has learned the "Police Academy" star set the whole thing up.

Guttenberg was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this morning ... and law enforcement sources tell us he was REALLLY into the idea of arriving in a cop car.

We're told Steve called in a favor from the boys in blue ... who helped make Steve's wish come true.

So, congratulations hookers and homeless people in Hollywood ... you now have a new celebrity to crap on.

PRETTY EXPENSIVE TOILET WHEN IT COSTS $30K TO "BUY" A STAR. THANKS TO HOLLYWOOD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WHERE STARS CAN BE BOUGHT. GEE, WHAT A NEW CONCEPT... #TRUTH!!

I've always liked Guttenberg until this point in time. Seems to me the cops have better things to do with their TAXPAYER paid paychecks than to give him a thrill. And people wonder why California is fiscally in the toilet, here is one fine example. LOVE the tone of TMZ's end statement, LOL.

I agree. That last sentence need to go. How nice for Steve Guttenberg to get a star. He is a kind man. Noo need for the sarcasm in this story.

haha, Mahoooooooonnneeeeeyyy! Terrible but great movies they were.
Where on the blvd is he? I'm tipping it's probably somewhere past Vine. That's where all the B-Graders usually end up

They probably aren;t trying to be funny with the hookers and homeless line. That is what Hollywood Blvd is like, it's a magnet for freaks. The only reason you'll still be able to see Steve's star in a years time is because of that old guy with no legs who spends his whole day polishing the stars with Brasso.

Why make fun of the fact that homeless people do not have a place to go to the bathroom TMZ? what is funny about people who are on hard times? Do you really think anyone want to go to the bathroom outside and not have toilet paper to wipe themselves properly?
