Whitney Houston Funeral

Casket Under LOCKDOWN

Until Burial

2/18/2012 2:11 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The casket of Whitney Houston.
The casket of Whitney Houston will be heavily guarded until the burial Sunday morning, with a whopping 10 security guards tasked with keeping watch on it ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, the casket will be kept at the cemetery until tomorrow's burial ... but will be well-protected until then.

We're told the family will get an opportunity to see Whitney one more time between now and tomorrow morning.

Today's funeral service featured touching testimonials by Kevin Costner and Clive Davis, among others.

Bobby Brown was invited to come with two guests. Who has the audacity to bring eight people when an invite says two. That says everything about him. He is sheer trash. Maybe Whitney was the same otherwise why would she have been attracted to garbage like him. Also why is no one reporting that she got her start on Star Search when her cousin Dionne hosted the day way back when. I can't remember if she won or not but that was the equivalent of A.I. or A.G.T. today.

@sandy - what are you talking about - whitney was never on star search - just like bobby didn't sow up w/ 9 ppl - it was only his brother and 3 of is kids - who had invites - and whitney was never on star search - she was singing in night clubs w/ her mother when clive davis heard her and signed her to arista - then spent 2 years getting the best songs and producers to make her a star - it's time you really do some fact checking

...The Good, The Bad & The Ugly...

The Good:

...Much much much much much much Love, Regard and Respect
to the Houston extended Family, Friends, Church, et al ...for carrying themselves with such Dignity, Grace & Class...

The greatest television event I've ever seen - it was hands-down beyond inspiring bordered on thrilling.

R. Kelly killed, as usual, and so did everyone else - Kevin Costner was fantastic, Clive Davis scary-terrific - one after another after another ...

-It demonstrated the great Black race and the great African-American culture and love of God, People...

The Bad: It was Heart-breaking, and bought me back to my own familiarity with Funerals, Memorial Services, Wakes.

I mean it was HEART, HEART-BREAKING.

It will always break my heart - and that someone as beloved as Whitney Houston ... accidentally slipped into the water while dozing off...

Could happen to any of us, and at any time, I've almost gone down/out seven or eight times while in a bath tub.

A best friend's GF drowned the very same way, and in Orlando FL - shocking the hell out of us.

The Ugly:

"You can COME to your Wife's Funeral - but you can only BRING Two People..."

It was a beautiful funeral. I have compassion for everyone in this world. I have 3 cousins on crack, but I still love them.
Whitney is a superstar, she deserved this kind of funeral service. What is with the whitney hate? She never did anything to you. I never heard of her stealing anything from houses, like other people who have addictions.
The most important thing about this funeral is to love and respect people when they are alive. What gives you a right to judge someone on their past. Lots of people with drug addictions go on to do positive things in their lives.

I’m not really sure why you replied to my comment with yours. Nowhere in my comment do I judge Whitney Houston on her past, or express “Whitney hate” so I can only assume that you mistakenly replied to me. If it was intentional, might I respectfully suggest that you work on your reading comprehension, as your criticism of my post was completely unfounded. I simply stated essentially that she was no more or less important than anyone else (this is clearly stated in the last line of my post), which is absolutely true and nothing personal against Whitney Houston.

really?

This was the most errogant display of a circus...well then, again, what would we really expect. Such a waste of time and money for a drugged out civilian. She was NO hero or anyone who changed the world to be celebrated. You all ought to be ashamed. But there is always karma...

i think unless you have had a drug problem, or love someone who does have an addiction, you will never understand that because someone does, it doesnt make them worthless and useless to society.i see alot of comments about her, that she was just a junkie. i have had addiction in my family,i wouldnt wish it on anyone, it is horrible and sad.it isnt so easy to just convince someone to get help. they have to help themselves, but when your all messed up on drugs it not an easy thing to do. i hope all of you judgers out there never have to face addiction in your lives, i wish people would stop being so judgmental and have more compassion

who cares

Well i said a lot of tacky things because i dont believe in honoring or praising a drug addict who has had nothing but a negative impact on all those around her. There are plenty of people who die like whitney did and they have actually done something for society but yet they dont get honored. But yet she does because she is a christian and she could sing. And thats wrong and thats why6 religion is the downfall of society because christians tend to over look the facts and say it doesn't matter she is a child of god.... Well god didnt create man and thats scentifcally proven how life began on earth. So there for Whitney shouldn't be honored and pedistaled wheh she was a cancer on society a whole.
