A list of people scheduled to speak during the "home going service" for Whitney Houston was just shown to the media outside the church ... but one famous name listed will be a no-show.

Aretha Franklin will not be at the service today, CNN is reporting, due to illness.

Tyler Perry, Kevin Costner, Clive Davis and Dionne Warwick are among those scheduled to speak.

The service is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM ET/9:00 AM PT and we'll have it for you live.

Please leave ugly remarks inside your ugly soul. This is a funeral. Your turn will come. She touched many lives. She didnt claim to be perfect, who is. So have some respect for yourself

People need to remember that we're all flawed in our own way and nobody knows what path our life will take in the future.
What people like WH have accomplished in a short time is more than most of us will in a lifetime. It doesn't matter if it was 5 or 5o years ago. She touched and inspired with her words, music, laughter and charm. Having an addiction or illness is just a small part of who a person is and their life and accomplishments deserve to be celebrated. At the end of the day her memory and love will live on in the hearts of those who truly understand why she was here in the first place.
The home going was a lovely service dedicated to a woman with a big heart and a beautiful smile. A mother, entertainer, daughter and friend. We should thank God for her gifts and overlook her shortcomings for only he can judge. She's not less human or her accomplishments diminished because of her weaknesses.
The Greatest Love of All and One Moment in Time. Two beautiful songs that will always inspire me and the memory that just a year ago I said goodbye to a loved one in hospital and I sang One Moment in Time to him before he passed. R.I.P. Whitney. Thanks for the music.

Bobby Brown let because he asked for 9 seats for him and Bobby Chistina's 7 siblings. Maybe you should have the White Woman out of it and them maybe your kids could be present. Bobby you could not be more Stupid.

Am i the only person who thought that the services for Whitney Houston were outrageously long, long, long, For God's sake Presidents' don't even get 4 hours of tributes when they die.....i thought that was sooooo ridiculous and way over dramitized....Black people will and forever be like that when it comes to funerals....ENOUGH ALREADY>>>>>>>>

I think the casket was empty. The pall bearers walked down the isle with the casket on their shoulders, moving from side to side to the rhythm of Whitney's voice singing "I will still love you". Anyone who has ever been to a funeral or have been a pall bearer knows how heavy a casket is with a body in it and the pall bearers struggle somewhat to carry the casket, not rock back and forth sidewase to the rhythm of a song.

Aretha Franklin: The media knew before the family, as they announced her performance at the Going Home Service, they were told, she was a no-show. Hours after she canceled an appearance at Houston’s service, because of spasms in her legs...she was quick on her feet, feisty in voice and sassy in spirit at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday night. Than, she urged the crowd, twice, to go to Walmart and buy her latest record to heal. “I hope that there’s something I will sing, or I have sung, that will lift all of our heavy hearts today,” she said near the beginning of the show. Can we say GREEDY! IS THAT WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR?
