Lamar Odom's Ex Teammate

He's Welcome Back to the Lakers ANYTIME

4/29/2012 10:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lamar Odom is a man without a team right now, but one of the members of the Los Angeles Lakers says he'd be welcome back to the team with open arms.

The Lakers traded Odom to the Dallas Mavericks before the season and it never worked out. Odom was in a funk all year and eventually the team placed him on the inactive list.

Matt Barnes -- who played with Odom for just one season -- told our photog this weekend the team could "always use L.O."

It would make for a great storyline ... on his show.

Here's what I can't understand, if the Lakers welcome him back with open arms, why did they want to trade him in the first place?

Sit at home eating bon bons and enjoy the millions you're making. Dallas people are thankful not to see you or your wife plastered all over the news! This is what the KarTrashion connection does for you! Enjoy LA.

Odom's done, Jerry Buss won't take him back. He won't be making $8 million from b-ball ever again, maybe Kris Jenner can give him more airtime on Khloe's show lol

After the deals he just made with E!, Lamar should retire to a life of celebrity in LA.

He quit on basketball! Why would the Lakers want a mental case on their team? Lamar is all into the fame-game with with the TrashKlan. BTW-basketball experts say he would only get a contract for the NBA's veteran minimum which is $1.2 million a year, I don't think Lamar wants to work that hard for such a little amount.

Two things bore me in life. One is watching paint dry. The other is basketball. Doesn't matter who you play for in the NBA...you're making money and feeding your family. For ignorant black men that can't put a coherent sentence together without some ebonics laid in there...that's a plus. STFU!

Odom was dumped from the Lakers, dumped by the Mavericks. Lamar Odom is a Kardashian puppet with cameras up his ass 24/7 for a non-reality E! tv show maybe more money. Odom is no longer a professional basketball player, he's a puppet.

Who would want to play with a guy who laid down on his team he could have potentially won a championship in Dallas.

He doesn't have any say at all. Odom did himself in by having pimpmama Jenner manage his career - hasn't she done well?

Ha ha ha. The Mavs still owns him and I very much doubt they will trade him to the Lakers. He would probably get traded to a team he does not want to go just to get back at him for quitting on them.

Boo frickin hoo !!! Watching him whine all the time on his show about how life is so hard and all the poor me crap is sickening! He and his spoiled rotten wife should be ashamed for being so self absorbed. Some people have real problems in the world and they really needed to have some air let out of their balloon! Karma rules

Of course they will want him back. Lamar is a versatile, skilled big man. He still has game. It just didn't work out in Dallas. He was not motivated and Dallas didn't know how to use him. He won't have a problem getting a new team when he becomes a free agent in July.
