Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Surrenders for Jail Stint

6/1/2012 11:07 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has officially begun his 90-day jail sentence for domestic violence.

Floyd turned himself in to a Vegas jail moments ago -- where he'll serve the remaining 87 days of his sentence. Floyd was given a 3-day credit for time served after his arrest. 50 Cent was present in court for support.

The judge praised the boxing legend for having already completed 45 hours of community service -- 20 hours at Habitat for Humanity, 10 hours at a Nevada food bank called Three Square, and 15 hours at Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Floyd has 55 hours left to complete.

In addition, Floyd has already completed 21 of his 54 required domestic violence classes.

Floyd was supposed to surrender back in January, but the judge postponed his jail date so he could fight Miguel Cotto on May 5th. It was worth it ... Floyd won ... and the fight raked in $94 MILLION in pay-per-view sales. For himself, Floyd earned a reported $32 million ... at least.

Floyd pled guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence back in December for beating up his baby mama in front of their kids.

His next status conference is on November 15th, when Floyd will have to show he's continuing to fulfill his court-ordered obligations.

The Neko Nation

As great as Floyd is a boxer he is an even greater excuse for a decent human being. A racist, a woman beater, and a man who threatens his own children with violence for trying to protect their mother.

That BullS@@t the judge postponed his date, that wouldn't happen for an "ordinary joe". That just taught O'l Floyd and all of the other celebrities out there that the court's will bend over backwards to accommodate their needs. What kind of a man is he anyway? Real men don't beat their women, especially in front of their children, his kids are gonna have warm fuzzy memories of their childhood.

He might be a good boxer, but he is a pile of S@!t, when it comes to being a person.

Wow, this is like when Ali got locked up in the prime of his career and other boxers were able to come up in boxing but we all knew the real champ was locked up. Free Mayweather! History is repeating itself all over again.

Hey "joejo" Muhammad Ali was never "locked up". Get your facts straight. He was just never allowed to box. And comparing a great man like Muhammad Ali to a no-class punk like mayweather is like comparing a BMW to a moped with one flat tire. Mayweather is over-rated and has the biggest ego even though anyone over 175 pounds could kick his azz. ALI is and always will be THE GREATEST.

He is a woman beater sleazeball and this is who Beiber is friends with. Disgusting. They should not have allowed him to delay his time in jail.

Gayweather and 50 are boning, no doubt. That's sweet that he saw his man off to the slammer.
