Sage Stallone

Law Enforcement Probing

Possible Drug Dealing

7/19/2012 4:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Authorities investigating the death of Sage Stallone believe a "likely scenario" is he was dealing drugs -- specifically Hydrocodone -- generic Vicodin -- law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told authorities do NOT believe Sage was an addict, in no small part because of his weight.  Our sources say ... at the time of his death, the 5'7" actor (his IMDB profile incorrectly lists his height at 5'10") weighed 188 pounds.  One law enforcement source tells TMZ, "He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin."

Our sources say authorities did not find a single Hydrocodone tablet in Sage's house.  Yet, as we previously reported, they found more than 60 gigantic empty prescription bottles -- the kind stocked by pharmacists to fill consumer scripts.  Each bottle holds a minimum of 500 pills, so Sage probably had more than 30,000 pills, but they were all gone.

We're told LAPD detectives and L.A. County Coroner investigators are going to try and trace some of the bottles using batch numbers and serial numbers, but one well-placed source believes there's a "strong likelihood" the pills were shipped from another country.

Although the baggies of white powder found in Sage's room -- a room the maid was prohibited from entering -- have yet to be tested, our sources believe it will probably prove to be ground up Hydrocodone.  Again, however, the power has not yet been tested.

As we first reported, Sylvester Stallone met with famed private investigator Scott Ross Tuesday and Ross will be doing his own digging to find out what was going on with Sage and why he died.

Sad. Let him rest in peace and give his parents the compassion of not running stories like this.

How rediculous. Vicodin makes you hungry and thus pudgy. Idiots.

"Again, however, the power has not yet been tested." The "power," eh? Nice typo.

I'm not too sure yet, if TMZ is tryin' to be passive with this story OR... not quoted by authorities!! DRUG ADDICTS ALWAYS RAIL THIN?? What do authorities know about drug users? They are not counselors OR even doctors! Meth addicts can still be heavy! Believe me, we have some in our family AND... we also have other drugs being used in my immediate family and they are NOT rail thin by any means! The authorities should probably get their facts straight about drug users! It obvious by the amount of LARGE pill bottles, that Mr. Stallone was a pusher tho'...

Sage Stallone's story gets seedier by the day. I wonder why the son of one of the worlds biggest movie stars ended up the way he did? His papa would have been happy to give him a job - but Sage took the druggie route and to have a secret room that the maid was forbidden to enter? What kind of wacked-out life was Sage living?
To die and lay dead for 4 days with nobody noticing or caring is telling. Even his customers for the drugs didn't care or call.

I seriously doubt the "authorities" said anything about not believing he was an addict because drug addicts are rail thin. That's a COMPLETE lie. LA is full of pudgy & downright fat drug addicts. Furthermore, abuse of Hydrocodone has actually been linked to weight gain. It slows your metabolism, which in turn causes you to gain weight. Do your "reporters" not do ANY research at all???

His father stayed away from drugs, he didn't.
He got caught up in the quicksand of drugs and no one handed him a tree branch to get out.
He masqueraded as a "normal" kid but due to drugs, was not.
I could see it in his mannerisms & his face change, demeanor change from 1990 to 1995, a TOTAL difference in his behavior & how he carried himself. I even reflected at the time (nearly 20 year ago) 'it looks like they (drugs & drug people) got another one'. This IS a pernicious problem which destroys lives. Need we be reminded over & over & OVER again about it? It doesn't seem to have an effect on young people today.

Come on,"in no small part because of his weight. Our sources say ... at the time of his death, the 5'7" actor (his IMDB profile incorrectly lists his height at 5'10") weighed 188 pounds. One law enforcement source tells TMZ, "He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin."

That might be the dumbest thing I have read. I dont post often, or ever for that matter but this might be the most foolish thing I have ever read.

To clear some stuff up, opiates can clog you up, as well as slow down your metabolism. On top of that a THEORY might be that SOME opiate addicts are thin, because they are jobless but spend their money on drugs and not food. However for sly, money wasnt an issue.

the "rail thin" comment was made to save face for the family... it looks a lot better saying he was a drug dealer rather than a junkie... you people act like you don't understand how the media or hollywood politics works...

Celebrities and children of celebrities seem to die young and for mysterious reasons. There always seems to be a smell of a cover up! Why does the entertainment field destroy its talent? As I get older, I would be scared to become an entertainer!

How could he get so many pills?!! They'll eventually find out and it will open a gigantic can of worms.
That amount of anything, even tylenol, would kill someone over time.
A doctor gave me a small amount after dental surgery....I took one and it gave me a splitting headache so I just dealt with the pain. So glad they didn't agree with me after hearing how addictive they are. yikes
