NFL'r Darrius Heyward-Bey

No Jail for DUI Bust

7/24/2012 8:55 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0724_darrius-heyward-bey_gettyOakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey won't be seeing the inside of a jail cell any time soon ... after striking a deal with prosecutors in his DUI case.

DHB pleaded no contest today in San Francisco Superior Court stemming from the April 7 incident ... in which cops said he bombed his field sobriety test and blew a .12 BAC.

In exchange for his plea, Heyward-Bey was sentenced to 3-years probation ... 3 months of DUI classes and had to shell out around $1,800 in court costs.

With the plea deal, the NFL stud can focus on more important things now ... like preseason training camp, which starts this Sunday.

Perhaps they'll jail this loser when he kills someone.
If that was you or I, we'd be getting 3 hots and a cot (and rightfully so).
Our system sucks.
This country is doomed.

Most people don't get jail time for first time offenders unless maybe if there was an accident involved. In fact you can usually get away with a 3 day weekend class plus a year of probation, 3 months license suspension and fine.

Why is it just because you're a football player or a celebrity you can get away with things a normal citizen gets the book thrown at them for....... doesn't seem like justice to me.....

Just goes to show it never changes, "money talks" and "sht walks". If you have money, you can break the law, and get away with it, especially Athletes who get paid entirely to much for what they doooo!

Yeah, another football star (s***) gets off easy just because of the misconceived idea that they're heroes (where in fact most are criminals).
