DO YOU SMELLLLLLL .... something burning?

TMZ has learned ... the Cincinnati Fire Department raced to the US Bank Arena moments ago after a fire broke out on the stage at WWE rehearsals for tonight's "Monday Night Raw."

A rep for the WWE tells us the fire began due to a "minor incident involving the show's pyrotechnics" ... and as a precaution, the "limited number of people in the building during the incident were successfully evacuated."

0730_WWE_SUBThe rep tells us no one was injured in the blaze ... and there was no major damage to the arena. We're told the fire marshal has since inspected the damage and gave the all-clear for WWE to proceed with tonight's event.

Can we just dispense with the indoor fireworks? Really, we can get that your show is cool without it. This kind of nonsense is what killed 100 people in a Connecticut club.

This is a new Stage setup for WWE, am sure they were just testing parts of the new opening Pyrotechnics display, should be thankful that they tested it as they did, if they would have been live with that there would have been much confusion and chaos.

yes, this would have been a new opening fireworks show for wwe, i have been a fan for about 15 years now. The Pyrotechnics displays that open their shows usually last about 10 seconds, have hundreds of effects, not to mention 20+ concussion blasts that will shake the whole building. I admit, some of them are over the top, but am thankful that they test some of these effects as they should. the company that does their special effects are well known and used by many professional sports teams.
