11 former members of Lance Armstrong's United States Postal Service cycling team TURNED on the disgraced athlete -- and testified against him in an investigation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

The USADA announced .... the cyclists who provided evidence to the organization include George Hincapie, Tyler Hamilton and disgraced former Tour de France champ Floyd Landis.

“The U.S.P.S. Team doping conspiracy was professionally designed to groom and pressure athletes to use dangerous drugs, to evade detection, to ensure its secrecy and ultimately gain an unfair competitive advantage through superior doping practices,” the USADA said in a statement.

“A program organized by individuals who thought they were above the rules and who still play a major and active role in sport today.”

The USADA says its investigation into Armstrong uncovered "the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen."

As we previously reported, Lance has been banned from cycling for life.

Truth

There is the inconvenient fact that Armstrong never failed a drug test. Years and years of tests. They had to doctor a years old sample to try and make something up. Some people just resent success so much they will do anything to tear it down.

really! really?

It seems that several are in unfortunate states of denial. An innocent person NEVER stops trying to prove their innocence. A GUILTY person- blames everyone else for their predicament. I am satisfied that the investigation proved their case. Mr. Armstrong found a chemical that could mask PEDs. Case closed.

He is still a champion in my mind. Like Eddy Merkx, Bernard Thévenet and Jacques Anquetil.

They were champs of their time and won on the term which were at that time.

The same with Armstrong. If you look at top 10 the years he raced it is diffcult to find a participant who was clean based on later test-results.

I believe that the doping fight is for the future, but I would not advice my children to ride even if there was no doping because all the tests have made the sport to hard and the sacrifices too many.

I also have to say that it is kind of funny that the entire population overmedicate legally while the rider properly are the only one who can not.

I really don't like to root against people, but let's look at the situation. This guy was on CHEMOTHERAPY. Chemo makes you extremely weak. There is no way he could've come back so soon to win the Tour de France without the aid of banned substances. Get real. However, he is still a person, and we should treat him as such.

Let me guess. These 11 former team mates were each offered a plea deal- either they testify against Lance- or they will each be charged themselves.
Lance never failed a drug test and he took them since the middle 1990s.
Not Guilty.

Joe Schmoe on the street can't take steroids and do what Lance did. He used medication [yes, steroids are essentially a medication] to enhance his performance but he's still an incredible athlete. He'll always be a champion to me.

As a kid, every school day I had to ride my Huffy ten-speed in first gear up a really steep and brutal hillside on the way. God I wish I'd known about this doping option back then.
