Fired WWE Superstar

Now I'm Gonna Wrestle ...

Dolphin Hunters!

6/12/2014 1:14 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0612_brodus-clay_gettyDolphin hunters beware ... ex-WWE superstar Brodus Clay has big plans following his release from the company today -- he's headed for Japan to protect dolphins from being captured and killed.

Brodus says he booked a trip to Japan for this summer and plans to protest dolphin hunting. He's been passionate about the cause ever since seeing the Oscar winning documentary, "The Cove".

The Funkasaurus tells us he's bummed about losing his job -- WWE cut a total of 9 wrestlers today -- but he's excited to do some other things -- like acting and writing a book.

Brodus says he's open to any wrestling opportunities he might get in Japan -- but his main focus is "bringing awareness to the cause" of the dolphins.

Guddorakku!

I will ignore this dudes face and focus on the good thing he is doing with his time. I hope he and others will make a difference. Dolphins do not need to be hunted.

I love animals just as much as the next person. But before anyone jumps on animal hugging issues, they need to step back and learn some facts and think. Dolphins are precious, no doubt about that. But Japan is a relatively small island nation surrounded by sea. Japan has long depended in the sea for it'ssources of food. Seafood galore. Land meat comes at a premium for this densely populated per square mile nation. Beef and pork is especially pricey. The sea is a huge source of food supply for them. Are dolphins endangered there? If they are not, I do not see any issue at all.

Keeping his head up, not talking trash, and doing some good with his new free time. With this attitude, he'll be fine no matter what.

That's great, love dolphins, but good luck on wrestling opportunities. If it's your main focus, hope you're serious and prepared to put all into that cause as you might be unwelcome and not offered other means of support while there. Save up!
