Update: Paris Betrayed
Paris Hilton faces enormous embarassment over her most personal items, including revealing and shocking photos, tapes and journals, that were recently sold at auction. TMZ has learned the culprit may be people who were supposed to protect her belongings.
A treasure trove of Paris' life was being warehoused in a Los Angeles facility. A small moving company, run by a husband and wife, was hired by someone connected with Paris to store her belongings in a locker. TMZ has learned the Hilton family actually had checks cut to the husband/wife to cover the storage fee, but they did not pay the bills in full. As a result, all the items were auctioned off.
The high bidder actually had no idea what was inside the bin. It was a blind auction. We're told when the new owner realized what was inside, that person sold it to someone else. Now, David Hans Schmidt, who makes a living brokering celebrity sex tapes, is the middleman, demanding a minimum of $20 million for Paris' stuff.
TMZ is told some of the contents are shocking, far more compromising than the infamous sex tape.
Bottom line, Paris had no idea her possessions were in jeopardy. She was blind-sided, and now it could cost her a fortune.
