Life After 'Project Runway'
'Project Runway's most recent season may have ended, but that hasn't stopped two of the show's finalists, Nick Verreos and Santino Rice, from causing a commotion.
By the end of 'Runway's' season finale it seemed like the two were archenemies - which is why fans of the reality show were shocked to find Nick and Santino together outside a West Hollywood, Calif. nightclub last week. The dynamic duo, who just happen to bump into each other, caused a fan frenzy, posing for pics while catching up on each other's post-show happenings.
Santino had just attended the MTV Movie Awards where he designed MTV correspondent Suchin Pak's dress. He will also appear in an upcoming photo spread in Details Magazine with other reality stars like 'The Apprentice's' Omarosa - with whom he has often been compared to.
Nick told TMZ he helped judge one of the castings for the upcoming season of 'Runway,' which debuts on July 12, and that host Heidi Klum wants to wear his tops and dresses on the new episodes.
Nick also recently received a phone call from one of his biggest fans who just happens to be one of Hollywood's most famous fashionistas - Sarah Jessica Parker. Parker told Nick she wants to wear one of his designs to a future red carpet event.
When not designing his own fashion line, Nick also teaches at LA's Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). FIDM also happens to be the school 'Laguna Beach' hottie Lauren Conrad (aka LC) attends on her new MTV reality show 'The Hills.' While LC is not in Nick's class, he does find it a little unreal that she was able to obtain an internship at Teen Vogue. Nick says internships-- like LC's-- at Teen Vogue are so competitive and almost impossible for even his A students with more experience to get, let alone a first semester student like LC. Hmmm.
While we don't know if LC got a little 'help' on her reality show, Nick and Santino seem to be doing pretty well all on their own.
