Travis Tritt -- Georgia Home ... ON FIRE!!!

Travis Tritt is singing his own song – it's a great day to be alive – because his Powder Springs, Georgia home just went up in flames.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call from Tritt’s mother-in-law, who returned from the grocery store to an inferno. The crazy thing ... we’re told Tritt was in the main house but had no idea there was a raging fire in his backyard.

The fire engulfed the pool house and playground. We’re told Tritt took a hose and tried holding the flames at bay until firefighters arrived.

No one was hurt. It looks like it was weather-related .... temps have been in the high 90s.

Tritt tells TMZ, "I would like to thank everyone for the concern earlier this afternoon."
