He directs a lot of made for tv movies --- often actors use the vehical that works, ( in his case acting) so that they can work the vehicle that they really want to drive (filmaking and directing). Look at Ron Howard, better known as Opie, or Richie Cunningham--- he acteed until he could direct----- and there are many others--- some of you all should take some time, and read the credits at the end of movies and television-- you would be amazed by the names------

Heaven knows none of you ever have, and if you HAVE, I wonder if someone speaking bad about you during this awful time (say, when someone you love died, or, Hrrrm when you lost your job, or, say, maybe when you lost your spouse, or while you were puting on the extra Sixty pounds your sitting there with!) if someone sat and rammed it down YOUR throat, how much you would have liked it.
