Julia Roberts' niece, Emma Roberts, has been tapped as the new face of accessories label Dooney & Burke.
The 16-year-old will appear in the company's new ads which debut in the October issue of Teen Vogue.
As the line's spokesperson, Emma follows in the dainty footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton in promoting what every American teenage girl needs -- a $200 handbag!
The new line hits stores in October and features a limited edition bag created by Emma that bears "her signature style." Whatever that may be.
Emma, who is following her "Pretty Woman" pedigree, stars in the Nickelodeon series "Unfabulous" and will soon be seen in the 2007 film "Nancy Drew."
Expect to see her debut at Hyde at any moment. (Just kidding.)

Sad, she will be known as Julia Roberts niece and not Eric Roberts daughter.
I absolutely love the Dooney Bumble Bee purse...now if I could just somehow trick my husband into buying it for me.
God, I hate this little c*nt. Riding the coat tails of a famous relative thinking she's auto|matically deserving of success and praise because of it. Tsk. Just terrible.
Callin her a c*nt is a little brutal, huh? hahahaha... she has the looks and the class, but she can't act or sing for sh*t. Britney's sis is a better actress, but she's white trash like her sister.
Dang, Number 4...crude, yet underwhelming mastery of the language. Why do you go by "CoreyCarrier?" Are you a disease, or did you get one in prison?
It's sad that TMZ doesn't even mention that she is Eric's daughter, what BAD reporting. Eric may not have the level of fame as Julia but he is a far better actor...In the end that is what should count...
I stand by my statement and furthermore rake TMZ over the coals for passing off this blatant advertisement (and a horrible one at that) as "celeb news". :-D
I think it's f***ing SICK that she _knows_ she has some kind of lame cult following by the "'tweens" set and now those pre-teen/early-teen girls in Everyday America will be begging their mom and dad to shell out ((($200 !!!))) for a purse, so they can feel a part of the whole "Emma Roberts experience"! Say what you will about those glassy-eyed, stoned-out, anorexic/bulimic Olsen twins... at least THEY sell reasonably priced merchandise at Wal-Mart (for 20 bucks!).
AGGH!!! OMG!!!! IF I SEE ONE MORE ACTRESS IN FASHION AD OR MAGAZINES I'M GONNA @$!@#$@!$!@!!!!!! SUPERMODELS SHOULD BE IN FASHION MAGAZINES NOT ACTRESSES. SUPERMODELS WERE THE ORIGINAL STARS OF FASHION. I'D RATHER BE READING ABOUT THE LIKES OF DOUTZEN KROES, BIANCA BALTI, DARIA WERBOWY, AND JESSICA STAM. NOT EMMA ROBERTS!!!!
Right, I am going to go out and spend 200 bucks on a bag for my "tween" because Emma Roberts is advertising for them.
Ok. NOT.
My Emily can't even stand this girl. She doesn't think she can act..at all. If it wasn't for Aunt Julia, or Daddy Eric, this chick wouldn't be where she is. Another over-rated--under talented, PR FLUFF, just like her Aunt. I wonder if Auntie showed her how to laugh and fall down, correctly. Thats the basic acting talents of Julia.
