You can't say Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't research his roles. Gyllenhaal, who is reportedly set to play Lance Armstrong in the movie about his cyclist friend's life, was spotted yesterday in the Hollywood Hills riding his bike -- perhaps in preparation for the role.
Gyllenhaal, who has often been spotted cycling with Lance and pal Matthew McConaughey, was wearing some sort of cycling shirt unzipped -- giving all his adoring fans a nice glimpse of his chest hair. You're welcome.
Jake can next be seen in "Zodiac," in theaters in early 2007.

(Page 1 of 1)Horrible Casting. Just awful. I wonder if Lance had a hand in this and snubbed his bath buddy Matt.

I'm less than enthused about Jake playing Lance. I think Lance's story is not worth more than a made for TV movie on the Lifetime channel. I'm not derrogating Lance, I just think it's a story that's too well known and has been told over and over again. I think 10 or 20 years from now, it might be of interest to the next generation, but now it's too fresh. Maybe Jake is cycling simply bcz he likes working out. What's wrong with Jakey enjoying a nice ride! LOL!
I think Rosie O'Donnell should play Lance in the ilm veersion, Only then would it be worth watching. We've seen enough of this guy on TV and in the nes already. But with Rosie that would be a kicker.
