Nicole Richie has checked herself into a private facility for an undisclosed treatment. According to a statement from 
Richie's reps, published on E! News, "She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition..."
Nicole will undergo diagnostic treatments to determine why she can't gain weight. Recent photographs of Richie have created a buzz in Hollywood that she may have issues with food.
Nicole's reps say "this is not a treatment for an eating disorder." The reps add that Nicole wants to deal with her weight issues in the healthiest possible way.
Production on the current season of "The Simple Life" will be put on hold indefinitely.

So glad to hear she's finally getting the help she so desperately needs. I'm sick of seeing her out clubbing all the time when she clearly needs to prioritize her health and get this dealt with. Quit the hating and wish her health and happiness :-) All the best Nicole!

How can someone who used to be over weight sit there and say "Why, I have no idea why I can't gain weight! I eat all the time!"? Well apparently it wasnt a problem to gain weight and keep it on before so I am gonna say she is full of it and is anorexic or has some disease!

Finially !!!! Someone has intervened and done something. It is obvious that she has an eating disorder. Whether or not it is caused by drugs at least she will be getting the help she so desperately needs. If she had waited any longer I am sure her life would have been on the line. She looks just like Karen Carpenter did right before she died. WHAT TOOK HER SO LONG ?

Bless her and her family. Nothing is simple...whatever the cause she is getting help and we all wanted that for her as well as the other too thin actresses (Bosworth etc.)...Lets hope that she gets on in time...before she is dead...
