TMZ caught up with porn star Mary Carey last night outside of Koi restaurant, where Mary was knocking back a few to get over the papers filed against her by near-namesake Mariah Carey.
Apparently, Mimi doesn't like getting confused with Mary and has opposed Mary's request to trademark the name. Mary says Mariah is "Crazy! She's Crazy! Mary's my name!"
While TMZ cameras rolled, Mary fielded a phone call informing her that one of her spurned "stalkers" has issued a press release in support of Mariah. Her bubbly attitude seemed to burst.

I like Mariah better than Mary (not that I care about either one), but Mary Carey didn't CHOOSE her name purposely to try and fool people into thinking she was Mariah. Hey, names are similar, you know? It's one thing if she called herself "Mariah" or perhaps with a different spelling, but Mariah needs to just deal with the fact that someone has a similar name -- no matter what they do. What a precedent that would set to make Mary Carey change her name. Fuggetaboutit!
