It's Official! Roth to Rejoin Van Halen

Break out your spandex pants, start practicing your karate kicks; David Lee Roth is officially returning as the front man for Van Halen.
Diamond Dave rejoins Van Halen
Founding band member Eddie Van Halen made the first official announcement to TMZ, saying "It feels like a whole new beginning to be back with Dave and to be playing with my brother and my son. We look forward to going on tour."

Roth, an original member of Van Halen, quit the group in 1985. He rejoined the band briefly in 1996, only to quit again a few months later. Roth hasn't performed live with the group since 1984.

As TMZ first reported, Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen, will be playing bass with the supergroup on their upcoming tour. According to the band's rep, Janie Liszewski, the tour will cover most major U.S. cities, including L.A. and New York.

31. As long as dave's in there,it will always work. Because he is and will allways be the vioce of the real VAN HALEN.Sammy just plain sucks. He was a puppet for Roth. He hit the lottery when he hooked up with eddie and the boys. So all you fagots stop cryin. Better late then never!

33. I happened to catch their kast reunion . That Goofy singer from Bad Company was in the audience singing everything that Dave was . I really laughed hard Until Dave started to go into the audience . not cool . DAVE SUCKS . I woulda rather heard Paul sing and Dave coulda' shut -up . oh, and TMZ SUCKS !!!

37. It's about friggin time!! Van Halen is what 80's music meant to me. They will always hold a special place in my heart and I am thrilled that not only are they back together, but they'll finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Regarding Eddie, this Roth thing is a pathetic, PR fueled footnote to what was once a brilliant career, before booze soaked his brain beyond recognition. The ONLY reason to bring back Roth is to save face at the Rock Hall of Fame ceremony, where he'd otherwise be standing up on stage completely by himself and his one-note brother.

Sorry....Eddie rules...you are wrong..they got back together for a brief time, but Eddie and Roth could.....not get along.........In June 1996, Roth reunited with Van Halen for a brief time and to great public fanfare. He recorded two new songs for Van Halen's Best of Vol. 1 album, "Can't Get This Stuff No More" and "Me Wise Magic." After an infamous appearance on September 5, 1996, at the MTV Video Music Awards...in which Roth was wearing the same clothes, that he wore in the 80"s..what an ass.......

43. Michael Anthony had a great voice. David and Sammy both contributed to Van Halen's success in their own ways, I enjoyed both. (Sorry to be so positive guys)
As for "Goofy Paul with Bad Company", that would be Paul Rodgers, who first became known for his days as singer for the band Free. (Does the song "All Right Now" ring any bells?) No other artist has led 4 bands to worldwide success (B.C., Free, The Firm, The Law). Rodgers is also widely considered to be rocks greatest vocalist, as stated by John Mellencamp, Robert Plant, Sammy Hagar and others.

So what idiot thinks he's goofy? Seriously, am I and maybe 2 or 3 more people on this site the only ones over 15 years old?
