Kanye and J-Hud Go Back to School

Click to return to TMZ.comIt's not every day that Grammy and Oscar winners drop by your school, but "College Dropout" Kanye West went back to high school for a surprise performance yesterday ... with Best Supporting Actress Jennifer Hudson.

West was a special guest at an Oak Lawn, Illinois high school rally, announcing plans for a new gym; a remodel funded by Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade, a former student at the school. Wade also announced via satellite, a $5,000 scholarship funded by his Wade's World Foundation and T-Mobile Sidekick.

Chicago native and Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson also appeared at the school to introduce Kanye. Sucks for anyone who skipped school that day!
