4. I often wonder whenever I see a photo of Ashlee Simpson...what does it feel like to look in the mirror...and not recognize the face. She looks so different. It must be very weird for her. 9. Reality Check - anybody can say anything - freedom of speech is guaranteed in the constitution. If people didn't buy the music of rappers using this language then it would not be used by them. Don Imus had the right to say what he did without being arrested or anything but he is experiencing the consequences of what he said. It outraged enough people to speak up to influence his employers to fire him. Anyone who wished to speak up in support of him did not have enough clout to overcome that. Or maybe not enough people spoke in support of him......

I agree with what your saying, but the hypocrasy of it all is what is mindboggling. Recall the Dixie Chicks? Similar situation, different subject matter, and their fans ditched them and the left wing was up in arms about the fact that the fans were exercising their right to NOT listen to the Dixie Chicks.

It seems to me a case of the left wanting free speech only for the left, and I really wish the black community WOULD boycott the female-degrading and gangsta crap rap.
