The friendship is pretty easy to figure out. Austin is a bit more intellectual than Jake, having graduated in creative writing from UCLA while Jake dropped out of Columbia. They are the same age. Jake, on the other hand, is the more successful actor. So Austin probably looks up to him in that while Jake appreciates having a friend who is brainier than he is. I do suspect that Jake probably dominates the relationship simply because of his overall greater success and probably likes to feel that he is a kind of wiser, older brother to Austin.

Jake probably lives in the Hollywood Hills area where he bikes. His street address is confidential, I suppose, but I wonder if the recent GQ spread on him was photographed in his house. The house is modernistic with floor to ceiling windows and probably a great view and the decor is modern. Anybody know if this is actually his house?

Back off Homophobes! Contrary to an earlier comment, Jake is frickin' HOT! I think in due course, Jake WILL come out. He has the time to play it out. Austin and Jake make a smokin' hot couple. Austin is a damn site better than that no talent Matthew McConaughhey that Jake was hangin' around with. BTW...isn't McConaughhey's 15 minutes about up? He can't act worth a crap!
Don't buy the Jake/Reese phony romance. Why is it when gay "rumors" start, these male stars either marry almost immediately. Take's me back to the Tab Hunter/Rock Husdon 50's when the studios would hook them up with the current starlets. Jake ain't gonna play that game.
