True - You can be sober & have fun. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to someone who's currently in rehab. She has not discovered yet what sobriety is, which is what rehab is supposed to teach her. She hasn't learned the rules yet, and how to walk the straight & narrow. My take on the whole thing is she hasn't taken rehab seriously, and putting her in a bar that serves alcohol on her birthday, before she knows how to control her alcoholic cravings, is just plain STUPID.

If her attorney really gave a damn, he'd convince her to getting her life in order by staying in rehab the entire 30 days straight, not go out "partying" again; he'd counsel her positively, not act like her publicist. It looks like EVERYONE around her isn't looking out for her (crazy alky dad, emptyheaded gold digger mom, bottom feeding lawyer). I hope she finds her way to a clean & sober life, but the odds are stacking up against this every happening...

She was busy with the lawyer ensuring the party would continue.
If this party does indeed happen it sends a very negative message to our youth. It gives reward for destructive behavior.

34. Caesar’s Palace should let her out of her contract. Vegas is nowhere for a young girl just out of rehab to be. It's very sad that her handlers, or more importantly those who are supposed to love her, like her mother and father, don't understand how serious this is and aren't having a discussion with her about a poor choice like this. Addicts don't need to be going to bars and nightclubs. They need to stay far away from them! Why can't she have an alcohol free party somewhere else anyway? True friends would understand, and those that are drunkards and can't stay away from drinking for a night shouldn't be in her circle of friends anymore anyway. I really hope she cleans house when she gets home and gets rid of her party friends, and finds a new way to enjoy herself. She is going to be right back where she started if she doesn't.

37. If Betty Ford were dead, she would be rolling over in her grave right now. In-patient rehab was intended for SEVERELY addicted people who needed medical supervision to detox and intense, almost constant therapy. Lohan is a kid that has been partying for the last couple of years that could probably benefit from out-patient rehab counseling and some good old fashioned will power. If she really needed in patient help and was really serious about it, the last thing on her mind would be making a movie and planing her birthday party. Why? BECAUSE SHE WOULD BE TOO SICK TO THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS. Celebs like this make a mockery of those who are hard core addicts and really need places like Betty Ford, Promises, etc.

When I was in college I would go to classes, then to softball practice or game, party and drink till god knows when and then do it all again the next day! I did this everyday and still made the dean's list!!! Go Lindsay! Have your cake and eat it too!
