Heath Ledger, who'll be playing The Joker in the next Batman opus, scared the hell out of moviegoers -- who caught a glimpse of his hair at the airport! Ack!

Seen here carrying baby Matilda at LAX this weekend, Heath knows that nothing flatters a horrible hairdo like a pair of unfortunate sunglasses ... just ask Britney!
