but you are right, that kid who got beat up was NOT one of the three kids who hung the nooses. Him and the black kids supposedly had words with each other and they pounced on him in a pack of 6. Six against one.

Did you know that prior to the fight involving the 6 black kids NOT THUGS, but KIDS, a black kid was beat up with bottles being broken over his head by a bunch of white kids at a party? That question was rhetorical because I'm pretty sure you didn't know that. Did you also know that a white kid pulled a shotgun on the black kids PRIOR to the fight involving the 6 blacks and the white kid? NOTHING was done to white kid for pulling out a shotgun on unarmed kids. Did you also know that the white kid who was "almost beaten to death" was released from the hospital the SAME DAY, and in fact attended a school function that same night???
Do a little independent research before you spew ignorance. I am not trying to justify my stand on the matter because I don't need justification or approval from you or your kind. Just thought I would TRY to enlighten you.

19. #21...The kid beaten had nothing to do with the beating you mentioned. He also was not the kid who pulled a shotgun on anyone. This kid had nothing to do with the noose hanging. As far as his going to a party the same night, that doesn't matter. The 6 left him unconscious in the street. He could have had a brain injury, he could have been internally bleeding to death. Of course we know that wasn't the case but at that moment those 6 did not know that and in fact left him for dead on the side of a road. I am not excusing any of the other tragic incidents you mention, they are all deplorable and justice should have been served but that does not justify the 6 kids actions. You do not create change with violence. They should be punished for their crime but the punishment should fit the crime. Prison time is a bit much but they should be on parole and should learn that violence is never the answer. This in itself was a lesson that Martin Luther King expressed strongly. You do not create change with violence and Sharpton should know that.

21. Some of you need to get updated on ur facts...the is no real acutal evidence that it was a 6 on 1 fight! There are so many different accounts and the one the DA choose to believe was a statement released by one of the students...who just coincidentally was one of the white kids who HUNG THE DAMN NOOSE IN THE FIRST PLACE! And people say if it was 6 whites being a black it would be different ...of course it would. .cuz u wouldn't even hear about it! I'm so sick of people thinking that all African American's support the Jena 6 because they are black, no we support them because of years of legal injustice. Why was nobody up in arms when the white woman who was convicted of killing her husband only got 7 months in jail and their trying to give these kids 20 years for a fight....wake up! It shouldn't have to be about black and white it should be about right and wrong and taking responsibility for your actions. They committed a crime and should be punished...FAIR AND JUST THOUGH! And those who committed acts against them should face up to the things they did.

It's crazy how African Americans still have to defend their race. African Americans (to my knowledge) don't go around "EXPRESSING" their hate against Caucasians. So if an individual has an issue with someone, it is better to keep it to themselves instead of provoking innocent bystanders. It is very ignorant for one to think that Blacks should be punished for defending themselves but Caucasians can continue to be privileged and get away with assault in this same situation. NO, it isn't right for a person to put his/her hands on someone because a couple of Caucasian kids want to "EXPRESS" themselves, but how long does a person have to keep ignoring this constant disrespect..... Are you saying that African Americans on an everyday basis should keep letting people bring up a tragic connection (Which by the way killed their ancestors) get away with this? What do you think will happen if African Americans brought up these constant levels of disrespect to the court system...especially in the South...NOTHING!!! What are they supposed to do.... These young men are in jail for charges based on Caucasians hating African Americans due to their skin color. If this situation was turned around...the Caucasian boys would not be in jail period... they may get suspended from school for fighting....but that's about it! Whether you want to admit it or not, these adolescents are being taken advantage of because of their race. It wasn't right 100 years ago and it isn't right now! African Americans didn't ask to be stolen or sold from their home over 100 years ago, but yet they are being punished. GOD can see through all of this...People like you should be scared come judgement day!
